SPRINGFIELD (CBS/AP) Two people have been shot by police in a tornado-ravaged area of Springfield.
Originally a police source told WBZ-TV that one person was killed. Police later stated that was not the case and the injuries are non-life threatening.

Looters, reckons I.
It sounds as if it was fully justified. In which case, that is a typically atrocious AP headline.
Did he shoot any dogs? There’s always a dog close by that needs shooting in the opinion of law enforcement.
Much like a FR thread about a police shooting needs someone to mention dogs.
My initial thought:
Was this (1) a thugcop shooting civilians for disrespecting his authority or (2) a police officer shooting a pair of thugs?
Turns out the officer was responding to a woman complaining about an assault, he pursued a vehicle matching the woman’s description, the thugs tried to run him over, and he fired on them. They’re are two pieces of cooberating evidence: the woman’s complaint and presumably a dashcam.
Sounds like a good shoot by an officer...
I came here to see the Springfield pic from the Simpsons...
There’s a lot of Springfields in the USA. Which one is this?
No dogs shot so it’s all good
This will cost Wiggam his badge.
Theres a lot of Springfields in the USA. Which one is this?
There is extensive damage, whole neighborhoods flattened. Looting started pretty quickly. This case does NOT seem to be looting. If you trust the Boston 90milesaway media.
One woman threw her teenage daughter in a bathtub and protected the girl with her own body. She was killed when the house collapsed on them and the daughter lay under her dead mother until rescuers dug them out. Horrible...
One day someone will post a story about a police officer shooting a dog from Mexico that was imported here illegally, and many FReepers heads will explode.
Thanks! I needed that!
