Rep. Anthony Weiner a no-show at New York City Israel Day parade amid Twitter photo scandal

Rep. Anthony Weiner ditched the Israel Day parade for the first time in years as the ballooning boxer brouhaha continues to dog him.
Several of his fellow Democrats and political rivals questioned why the congressman was nowhere to be seen.
"It has become a huge distraction," said former city Controller William Thompson Jr., a likely Democratic mayoral contender.
"It has become a circus. Every answer raises another question."
U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) said Weiner should have attended the parade up Fifth Ave.
"I'd like to see him here," he told reporters before marching. "He cares about Israel and \[is\] very active in the Jewish community and he ought to be here."
Weiner, who also has his eye on Gracie Mansion, has said he didn't sent a lewd photograph of bulging briefs to a 21-year-old college student from his Twitter account last Friday.

He’s pro-Israel. That’s what makes me laugh when I read the British papers - they think “the bitch set him up.” If they only knew he was a big supporter of Israel they’d turn on him in a dime!
Why aren’t the media demanding answers??? Why aren’t they demanding his resignation? Why did Reuters headline this story with Weiner as a “Republican”?
Why are the standards for Dems so different?

You’d think this to be a good thing to have a disgraced Democrat stay in office. The issue is not going away. The longer he stays in office, the more it will cost the Democrats.
Probably just hangin’.
Or maybe he went to a Ball.

He’s talking things over with Huma.
Huma talked to Hillary about how to deal with a husband who causes problems in the marriage.
And I’m sure Anthony and Huma had some good pillow talk about all of this. I’m sure Hillary told her to be supportive of her husband, since he has to get back to work for the American people. And Hillary advised Huma that making a public scene, or leaving Anthony, or anything other than unqualified support will just make things worse for her. So Huma will swallow hard and suck it up and just accept whatever he does.
And other Democrats will just hope this all goes away.
Remember during the Mark Foley text messages to male pages scandal, that Nancy Pelosi charged Speaker Hastert did not oversee his caucus properly, and that there was a culture of corruption if a congressman could send out lewd messages like that. In the Weiner scandal, Nancy is silent about cultures of corruption and all that.
Weiner is acting like a Brat.

I guess it’s hard to show you’re face; when you’ve been caught with your pants down.
The truth of the matter is that in recent memory, the only political organization that has been present as a group in the parade has been the Republican Jewish Coalition. Its Jewish Democrat counterpart, apparently now in harmony with Obama's foreign policy, has been conspicuous by its absence.
As for Weiner, does anyone really think that a guy who is married to an Arab woman with whom he is trying to mend fences would go to a pro-Israel event?
He wants to live in Grace Mansion, but can’t handle a few reporters.

At this point, Weiner can do no wrong by coming out (fully dressed) and OWNING HIS WIENER!!!!!! He might as well confess. He’s already toast.
Maybe this was the wrong parade for his “moment.” When is the Pride Parade in NY?
