“I think it has something to do with the fact that most of the original stimulus money was never spent. The White Hut is saving that money to buy re-election and they’re confident they have enough cash to do it.”

I suggest what passes for the civil disorder of starving masses elsewhere on the globe is, IN AMERICA, really the public expression of politically exploited and over indulged ‘malcontents’ who taxpayers have ‘carried’ for decades and who would NOT be satisfied NO MATTER what or HOW MUCH assistance they receive.

Agreed. The Government-dependent fattest poor people on the planet share a large subset with the perpetually offended of certain ethnic backgrounds and are most likely to riot and especially loot.

As was demonstrated during the aftermath of Katrina, they only steal to feed theselves and their children. Apparently, in a pinch we can just feed them electronics, jewelry, and high priced vehicles...

I write books (”Harry”, “Going Galt”). My next one is “Survivng Civil War II”.

When you start a book like that, you don’t know where it will lead at first. I am far enough along to say we are already in a Civil War, sort of a Cold Civil War with different characteristics than our first civil war. I should be done in a matter of weeks.

In the Great Depression people lost everything but we didn't have these gangbangers and thugs everywhere.

There were a few miscreants about

They had names like Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Floyd, Bonnie and Clyde, and John Dillinger. They shot up banks, and since the banks had been foreclosing on peoples homes, they were treated has heroes.

What made many of these people heroes is that they would often steal the mortgage paper and then take them out and burn them.

18.5 percent of American males between the ages of 18 and 55 are unemployed

A percent of those man-boys are living in their mama's basement playing video games. See, not quite so bad, huh, huh? Or not.

With so many becoming aware of the current situtation and what's coming, there are more who are prepping. With prepper numbers increasing every day (which I believe they are), one would think there would be a greater demand on the supply which in turn would increase supply jobs to meet that demand. However, we're seeing worse unemployment figures. IMHO, we're worse off than what the numbers are showing and it's only a matter of time before something cracks.

“Look for massive demonstrations against those evil corporations hoarding their profits and not hiring people.”

I think you’re crediting the malcontents with far too much intelligence. I think it will be more like ‘68. Disappointement and failed expectations fueling riots and social disintegration.

The difference this time is there’s no federal money to throw at “the problem”. I believe therefore there will be an inevitable and brutal crackdown once the Feds admit they’ve lost control of the situation.

Many, Dillinger especially, understood the value of having good press. They never stole money close to home. That way the locals could be counted on to look the other way. Alvin "Creepy" Karpis as well as Bonnie and Clyde were sociopaths. They killed people just for the fun of it.

I don't credit malcontents with any intelligence, but I do think Obama himself will be leading the charge against big, evil, corporations. He will set the stage for the violence, act stunned when it happens and propose a solution which punishes the victims. It's his standard method of operation

‘the Federal debt is increasing at a rate of $1,148 per family per month since Obama was sworn in.’

That infuriates me!

‘In fact, the debt grew $3,646,116,554,704.36 from January 2009 to April 2011, when Obama finally said there was a need to get a handle on the debt situation.’

Debt to finance the deficit is actually the least of it. The government also took on over 5 trillion for Medicare & Social Security liabilities in 2010. Unfunded obligations amount now to hundreds of thousands per household.

And economic growth is expected to make these programs more affordable. Seriously ? I don’t think there is enough money in the world to pay for them. :(
