In two separate incidents, as many as 15 teens have stormed Chicago Transit Authority buses, attacked their victims and darted off with cell phones and other electronic devices, authorities said Tuesday.
Both incidents were near the University of Illinois at Chicago campus, prompting city and campus authorities to issue community alerts.
In the first attack, near West Roosevelt Road and South Loomis Street at about 11:40 p.m. Saturday, a victim was struck multiple times before the thieves ran off with his cell phone.
About 25 minutes later, near South Racine Avenue and West 13th Street, a student said he was sitting on a No. 12 bus when as many as 15 black boys and young men boarded the bus without paying. The student was hit in the back of his head with a glass bottle and was robbed of his iPod, said UIC police.

What is a "community alert"?
Bet it's not "two shots center mass, pause, third in the head".
Right before Zero got elected, at my movie theater the attitude started. The youth just hang around there, then buys tickets, then go in the movie room and start making a lot of noise and party around until someone gets them booted out.
They sometimes wear pseudo-paragovernment “fashion” ranking shirts with stripes, chevrons and what not.
“Bottom line: you have the right to defend yourself, up to and including the use of deadly force.”
Only in SOME states.
If you were to use deadly force in such a situation in a state like Connecticut or Massachusetts, the post-outcome action by the state would probably be quite different than if you were so attacked in Texas.
Look at what happened to Bernard Goetz in the famous subway attack.
You post is a good one, and your logic entirely correct. But again, in some states you’d be tried as a criminal for “defending yourself”. That doesn’t mean you’d be _convicted_, but the “laws of self-defense” are not equal everywhere....

Indeed, if somehow considered a disafected youth readily considered “oppressable” by a white man, they will try to convict you and rig the juries and courts.
We are suffering from a civil war lead by a government chummying up with feminists and communists for denounciatives.

Again, get out of those areas and do whatever is practical to isolate them and cordon them off from “the rest of” civilized society.

In the next 30 years, we are going to witness the greatest mass migration of Americans in our history. It will resemble something akin to “The Great Trek” of South Africans a century ago.
You will see the “productive” and conservative-minded Euro-Americans fleeing the “multicultural” areas of the nation, and gathering themselves together in areas where they will constitute an overwhelming majority of the population and where they can “feel safe”.
And exist somewhat “insulated” from the collapsing liberal multicultural areas.
Just speculatin’....
America, this is our moment. This is our time. Our time to turn the page on the policies of the past. Our time to bring new energy and new ideas to the challenges we face. Our time to offer a new direction for the country we love.

The default position among many conservatives seems to be “Run away!”.
Eventually there will be no place to run to. There will be no place from which to make a stand when making a stand is the last viable option.

I think it was intended to prevent the “bad guys” from intimidating the “good guys” by the mere display of a weapon.
Unfortunately it seems to have more of an adverse effect on the “good guys” than the “bad guys”.

Carry a can of wasp and hornet spray. That will burn their eyes to the point of getting out.
What a useless description. It might as well say "The perps were between the 10% and 90% in height, of average weight, in summer casual dress, with various hairstyles." Well that certainly narrows it down! What is the point of giving a generic description of a large group like that?
I read about a 30,000 resident gated community/compound in Brazil that required entry by gate and each (non-resident) person entering or leaving was subject to search by the 1,200 private, armed security guards. The residents were mostly (but not exclusively) White...money bought entry.
There are more Blacks in Brazil than any other country outside Africa.
And, on you tombstone they will write, "He brought hornet spray to a gun fight."
