Christie would be good...

Surely, you jest. Christie wouldn't be good at all. The man doesn't have a single conservative credential to his name.

Yes, he fought the teacher's union in his state, but that's because New Jersey was dead broke, and could not afford to pay what the teacher's union wanted. It was an easy call for him.

On every other issue of importance to conservatives, Christie has sided with the left.

The fact that Ann Coulter even mentions his name as a serious potential candidate, speaks volumes about her twisted thinking process.

You might be right about the bulk of Christie's politics, but taking on the state teacher's unions is manifestly NOT and "easy call". Taking on a political force like them is not to be done lightly.

Here in Pennsylvania Tom Ridge made similar noises during his first election campaign. The teachers let him know he had a choice... a 2nd term as governor or a single tumultuous term. He chose the easy way out. I'm just glad GWB didn't pick that idiot to be his running-mate.
