Palin chief blasts Rollins, expects 'retraction'
Politico ^ | 06/08/2011 | Ben Smith

Sarah Palin's chief of staff blasted Michele Bachmann strategist Ed Rollins today after Rollins criticized the former Alaska governor and suggested to POLITICO that his candidate would benefit by comparison to her

"Beltway political strategist Ed Rollins has a long, long track record of taking high profile jobs and promptly sticking his foot in his mouth," said Sarah PAC chief of staff Michael Glassner in an emailed statement. "To no one's surprise he has done it again, while also fueling a contrived narrative about the presidential race by the mainstream media. One would expect that his woodshed moment is coming and that a retraction will be issued soon."

Backstabbing Mitt Romney:
"Do your duty for me. Attack the bitch and her children.
YOU will embrace these attacks on Gov. Palin and her defenseless children
as when you threw elections in 2008 and 2010
for ME. FOR ME.
Create, then support, the vicious anti-GOP attacks from our northern lands,
our bought media, and our plants within the Obama team.
Use Rollins and Rove and Krauthammer.
They hate women, too. Like us.
I will gain GOP and media favor by condemning the very same attacks and
ordering them opposed from our lands in the south.
Whichever way the tide runs, we will arise and only I will be left standing.”

I wonder how many applicants there are that would be interested in the job?

Honestly, who is on the list to be a strategist for Bachmann? It seems that qualified strategists might be in short supply.

Inquiring minds...

I notice that Pro Mitt Pollutico seems to take particular joy in promoting fights among the most conservative of candidates.

Which is why they should stop this now and then the papers can’t write anything about it. Does give the match and you can’t start the fire.

To be fair... Glassner put this on Rollins, the culprit in this whole mess, he is the problem from the beginning

The fact MB has NOT issued a statement to refudiate Rollons’ comments simply means MB is OK with these comments.

MB is on Romney team and working to dilute Sarah’s support in exchange to be VP on Romney ticket.

Liberal at top w/conservative woman as VP - didn’t work so well in 2008.

MB has sold her political soul.

The Bachmann campaign used Rat, elitist Rino and MSM rhetoric against Palin, this was no accident and not just Rollins doing.
He may have suggested it, but it had to be approved by Bachmann.
If it was not approved, Rollins should be fired.

Palin has not backed down from a fight yet, she shouldn't start now.

Notice that Glassner reserved his fire for Rollins only. Didn’t mention Bachmann. Good move. Glassner’s giving her a chance to repudiate Rollins. She won’t do it IMO.

Rollins or no Rollins, Michelle really doesn’t have a chance. Rollins is just going to insure it.

I love her sincere conservatism and her grit, but for 2012 the Lady just ain’t ready.

Perot hired him in 1992 and ended up firing him. He tried to make it a nice separation but Larry King kept quoting Rollins and finally Perot said “I fired him. Okay?” He never would say exactly why. Or at least I don’t remember why.

I don’t think C4P is at all officially associated with Palin, and since Politico is a much bigger outlet, it makes sense they would have it first.

Rollins is a has been old hack. By allowing this geezer to run your campaign , you show the world you are out of touch . Her decision making is questionable to say the least.

Palin has not backed down from a fight yet, she shouldn't start now.

One huge problem with BOOOSH was that he wouldn't fight nor would McCain against an obvious Marxist.

I disagree. They did the right thing by attacking Rollins and leaving Bachmann out of it. They get to return fire without getting into the ‘catfight’ that the press is looking for.
