NYT Asks Readers to Help Dig Up 'Interesting and Newsworthy' Palin Emails (AKA Anti-Palin Dirt)
Times Watch ^ | A.D. 09 June 2011 | Clay Waters

Posted on 06/09/2011 2:32:24 PM PDT by Robert Drobot

Early Thursday afternoon, Derek Willis posted on the paper’s "Caucus" blog a request surely enticing to the paper’s online liberal readership: "Help Us Investigate the Sarah Palin E-Mail Records." Ken Shepherd at NewsBusters says enlisting newspaper readers to pore through the email trove "indirectly amounts to free oppo research for the 2012 Obama campaign."

On Friday, the State of Alaska will release more than 24,000 of Sarah Palin’s e-mails covering much of her tenure as governor of Alaska. Times reporters will be in Juneau, the state capital, to begin the process of reviewing the e-mails, which we will be posting on nytimes.com starting on Friday afternoon E.D.T.

We’re asking readers to help us identify interesting and newsworthy e-mails, people and events that we may want to highlight. Interested users can fill out a simple form to describe the nature of the e-mail, and provide a name and e-mail address so we’ll know who should get the credit. Join us here on Friday afternoon and into the weekend to participate.

Sounds like a liberal party at the Times this weekend. But where was this crowd-sourcing investigative enthusiasm upon the release of the 2,000-page Obama-care bill, when it could have uncovered all sorts of expensive hidden surprises?

The Times was actually beaten to this game by the Washington Post, who made a similar request (it’s a more formal process than the Times') just after noon on Thursday.

PALIN MUST BE DESTROYED AT ALL COSTS. But why? No one wants to vote for her, the polls say she is way behind Obama, she’s stupid and just a country bumpkin. THE LIBS AREN’T AFRAID OF HER, THEY ARE COMPLETELY MORTIFIED OF HER! The change she will bring will definitely not please them. SHE MUST BE CRUSHED, SHE CAN NOT RUN AGAINST OBAMA, THEY PREFER ROMNEY.

A blatant case of soliciting the public to engage in character assassination.

While these village idiot liberals with torches dig for dirt that probably doesn’t even exist, they give Weiner a pass?

Nothing like living with communists in America is there? The entire liberal from the top to bottom are bottom feeders and rotten communists. Everything they find will be spin or outright lies. Anyone that identifies with this communists are themselves anti-American communists.

The leftist and media elite view Sarah Palin as the embodiment, in one single person, of the conservative Christian bloc in this country. Therefore, they know no limits in their hunt to demonize, humiliate and destroy her (and, by proxy) us.

I wish there were 100,000 emails for them to churn through and waste their money. If I was a shareholder of the NYT, I would be furious at this waste of time and money. However, since I’m not, I wish them the best in the ongoing destruction of shareholder wealth. Their shareholders must be complete idiots.

The leftists are telling us who they are most afraid of, and this is a major reason I want a President Palin.

I think that’s a great idea. What if we freeped this project and the Post project by deluging them with emails that verify all the great things Sarah has done. Give them more than 25,000 emails from us to comb through to find what they consider dirt.

Well, I think we should all visit Romney's website and say, "Unless you go to the defense of Governor Palin in this witch hunt of her emails by the NYT and WaPo, you can forget my support for you. I voted for you last time, but I won't do it again."

Never mind that I didn't and don't support him, HE doesn't know that ;0)

They will never pick just regular folks. This is all a ruse. They probably already have the KOS kiddies and DUmmies signed up. This is just blatant communist bully tactics.

So is the NYT’s and other media sources involved in this effort to destroy Palin.

Wasn’t O involved in digging up dirt during the Il senate race, so much that the Repub candidate dropped out of the race. Looks like Dem’s are going that avenue once again. They play dirty, that is why it’s important to call them out on their political lies and deception. Palin does that, and it is messing up their agenda.

I have decided that if Sarah Palin decides to run, then she will have my vote in the primary. At this point I cannot consider any other candidate.

The contempt that the MSM has for Palin matches my contempt for the MSM.

If they want a war against all the Palin stands for (which is everything I believe in), then by God we’ll give it to them.

Actually I DID vote for Romney last time. I was trying to head off a secure victory by McCain in California and was trying to send the nomination to the floor of the Convention (where hopefully neither McCain nor Romney would have won).

Oh well.

This time I am 100% behind Sarah Palin. It is time to stick it to the MSM and the liberal establishment. A Sarah Palin presidency would drive them all crazy (which is kinda redundant since they already are crazy).
