Mitt Romney Wins Over Media by Opposing Rush on Climate Change
Rush ^ | June 10th | Rush

Posted on 06/11/2011 6:20:20 AM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

RUSH: Right. So the media was listening intently as I played the sound bite this week, Monday or Tuesday, and said, "Bye bye, nomination." Remember that? I said, "Bye bye, nomination." Well, the media has glommed on to that. They are thrilled. Listen.

BASHIR: If Romney stands by his view that the world is getting warmer and that man is an important contributor, then how will he fare when so many Republicans believe that global warming is, in the words of Rush Limbaugh, a "complete hoax"?

UYGUR: You've got 99.9% of the scientists in the world in one camp and Rush in the other camp. The Republican primary (snickering) is probably Limbaugh wins against all science and facts.

O'DONNELL: Rush Limbaugh saying, "Bye bye, nomination."

ZIMMERMAN: Thanks to Rush Limbaugh, all of these Republican candidates are terrified of reaching out to mainstream voters.

MATTHEWS: Rush Limbaugh declared him bye bye ville. Nomination over! Manmade global warming is a hoax! It's all Rush Limbaugh.

RUSH: It's amazing how utterly uncurious these people are.

The only people half interested in Romney are liberals.

We don’t need a new King - we need a President.

—————why do these royal dooooooshbags get off deciding OUR candidate-—————

Because they’ve done it for a very long time. McCain? Dole? Remember when they said Reagan was unelectable?

I keep trying to tell people(both here and elsewhere) that the media is your biggest threat.

If you get the media, you’ll get Obama by default anyways, because he will be left defenseless. Or, whoever progressive politician you wish to discuss.

Journalists, actors, teenagers, and Bono are not scientists.

With liberals, when one is hired by an oil company to research drilling, etc - everything they say is tainted and must be wrong.

With liberals, when one is hired by the government to research “climate change” (which is the ONLY source of dollars for them) - everything they say is truth and must be regarded as such under penalty of branding.

Note, however, that those in the first paragraph can do many other things and earn good income. Those in the second paragraph have nothing else they can do.

Now - what results do you think will come out of that second group?

Science - probably not much beyond the talking points.

The MSM’s expertise is in kingmaking.

That’s what they’re doing. Now, I’m not 100% convinced that the media has chosen Romney yet.

But I am 100% sure of one thing: The media is petrified of the thought of repeating the reagan years. So they’ll attack any tea party candidate and prop up any establishment candidate that they can.

CENK UYGUR: "You've got 99.9% of the scientists in the world in one camp and Rush in the other camp. The Republican primary (snickering) is probably Limbaugh wins against all science and facts..."

Well, if we're talking "prostitute" scientists, those who will sell out to Big Government grant funding to make up stuff in support of the anthropogenic global warming scam so as to cover another Big Government power grab, then he's got a point. But if he's claiming 99% of all scientists then he is just a liar and/or ignoramus.

I think you’re right about liberals wanting Romney.

Maybe not the whacko die-hard liberals but I could see my Mother-in-Law, a mostly moderate sort but leaning liberal, adoring a Romney.

I also think that Romney is flipping the GOP base of Tea Party types the proverbial bird. Romney’s looking for votes from the GOP Blue Blood Ruling Class elite and that swath of “moderates” and Democrats leaning a bit conservative. He thinks the numbers to get him in are there.

And he could be right.

But make no mistake, he could care less about the Tea Party base and Rush Limbaugh.

It’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

You're exactly right; but, you may be barking up the wrong tree here. That is, that those here are already not persuaded by the leftist State Media. But that does not apply to the American populace in general. So it's a direct threat to most Americans, and an indirect threat to "us". I.e., the media is no danger to you and me; but people who still buy into what the LSM puts out ARE a danger to you & me. Even so, the LSM's influence has been greatly cut in recent years. I've often said that we face an enemy that is a snake with two heads: 1. The Media, and 2. Education. The media head used to be the man-eating, earth-surrounding anaconda. They're now whittled down to an average python. The Education head, meanwhile, has become more dangerous -- extending itself into highschool, grade school, and kindergarden. It has become a nationwide plague of brown snakes. But the unseen danger, the sting in the tail, the black mamba of the bunch; is Law School. As law students go on to become lawyers, who go on to become defense attorneys, prosecutors, D.A.s, Attorneys General, Judges, or even Senators.

Gotta remember that it’s “climate change” not “global warming” nowadays. IMO, belief in anthropogenic global warming has become a religion, and I can’t help but find it unfathomably arrogant to think that “mankind” has any significant impact upon the earth.

I have a sinking feeling that Mitt is going to be the Republican nominee. I just see the handwriting on the wall. The MSM seems to be pushing him, and many people fall for it ... “he’s so handsome” “he’s a moderate willing to work with everyone, not a crazy “tea-bagger” “blah, blah, blah”.

I held my nose and voted for McCain and I want to see Obama and his ilk voted out in the worst way; but I honestly don’t know if I can stomach holding my nose again and voting for Romney.

It is a palpable conflict of interest for the federal government to fund grants for studies that essentially invite more government. No surprise that a larger portion of so called scientists indulge groupthink when it comes to the concept of MMGW. The entire grant process needs review and revision to the extent it is assessed in terms of whether it will truly benefit the people or take away their invividual liberties.

Thanks to Rush Limbaugh, all of these Republican candidates are terrified of reaching out to mainstream voters.

And the MSM tries to scare voters into accepting RINOs. The real problem is that many "conservatives" will also bite and make excuses about why we need to try for a "moderate" candidate. Almost as bad as the "purists" who insist all 100 conservative boxes must be checked or they will stay home.
