Mitt Romney Wins Over Media by Opposing Rush on Climate Change
Rush ^ | June 10th | Rush

Posted on 06/11/2011 6:20:20 AM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

RUSH: Right. So the media was listening intently as I played the sound bite this week, Monday or Tuesday, and said, "Bye bye, nomination." Remember that? I said, "Bye bye, nomination." Well, the media has glommed on to that. They are thrilled. Listen.

BASHIR: If Romney stands by his view that the world is getting warmer and that man is an important contributor, then how will he fare when so many Republicans believe that global warming is, in the words of Rush Limbaugh, a "complete hoax"?

UYGUR: You've got 99.9% of the scientists in the world in one camp and Rush in the other camp. The Republican primary (snickering) is probably Limbaugh wins against all science and facts.

O'DONNELL: Rush Limbaugh saying, "Bye bye, nomination."

ZIMMERMAN: Thanks to Rush Limbaugh, all of these Republican candidates are terrified of reaching out to mainstream voters.

MATTHEWS: Rush Limbaugh declared him bye bye ville. Nomination over! Manmade global warming is a hoax! It's all Rush Limbaugh.

RUSH: It's amazing how utterly uncurious these people are.

well NOW is the time to defeat RINO’s — that’s what primaries are for.

Rush could do the American people the greatest service of his career by hammering Romney. Over and over. There’s so much at stake and we simply can’t afford Myth’s brand of liberalism.

No. Mittens is NOT going to be the nominee. We have had plenty of time to get our act together and reform the nomination process in light of the McCain/BOZ race and for the sake of the nation it cannot happen again....

I don’t think there are enough voters in the “media” to win him the GOP nomination. Americans are not going to allow the commie left in the “media” to give us the bum’s rush with Romney like they did when they nominated McCain. We’ll be chosing our own candidate this time.

Romney:

Believe in man-global warming
Pro amnesty
Pro state run healthcare
Pro gun control

Another McCain is not needed

The info in that post does not come from hotair.com at all, rather, it is a compilation that I have put together and which I maintain on my FreeRepublic home page.

Each of the assertions in the post is hyperlinked to the original source, and I believe they all remain active.

I also think that Romney is flipping the GOP base of Tea Party types the proverbial bird. Romney’s looking for votes from the GOP Blue Blood Ruling Class elite and that swath of “moderates” and Democrats leaning a bit conservative.

That's what the Dewey/Rockerfeller/Nixon/Bush wing of the party has always done and always will do.

What conservatives have to do is unite behind a candidate and send the elitist wing of the GOP over to reform the Democrats.

The country can survive with alternating 8 year rule between conservatives and RINO's. We cannot survuve with alternating 8 year rule between Marxists and RINO's.

I liked Romney in 2004 given the alterntives. Fred Thompson seemed completely disinterested (though I’ve become extremely fond of him listening to his radio show). Huckabee was a no-go for me and seemed wholly unelectable. McCain was a thorn in the side for Republicans. Paul was a bit out there on some issues, spot on with others, but so goofy as to be unelectable. Romney was the most conservative of those who showed a strong drive to get across the finishline (unlike others here, I never saw that in Thompson. Were he to make a run and seem serious about it this time, I’d be backing him).

I will not be supporting Romney this time around, and I think we can and must do better. That said, his odds seem better this time around, IMHO. A lot of the open primary states like New Hampshire are going to have a lot more moderates voting on the Republican side, as who cares about voting for Obama? The primaries are by nature going to align more moderate. I say that, but I also think the electorate has moved modestly to the right, as has the fervor.

Romney would love to see Cain, Palin, and Bachmann in the race. They split the vote, and he takes home the prize.

This will come down to Romney & Pawlenty. Unless Palin or Perry get in. Either of them wup Romney or Pawlenty easily.

Romney showed his true colors back in the 2008 IOWA GOP debate. The famous “Show of hands” question.

Q. Show of hands if you think global climate change is a serious threat and caused by human activity?

Romney’s hand shot straight up.

All that we really need to know about Romney .. is that he LOST to McCain..

THAT tells you how bad he is, because a dead squirrel could beat McCain.
