In Sarah Palin e-mail dump, Alaskans seek evidence of abuse of power (hurl alert)

The request for thousands of Sarah Palin e-mails, many from her personal account, came just as many Alaskans were growing concerned about the then-governor's ethics. Some 24,000 of those e-mails are being released Friday.

The Friday release of 24,199 pages of e-mails sent and received by Sarah Palin when she was governor of Alaska could, for perhaps the first time, give Americans from the Lower 48 a glimpse of Ms. Palin as Alaskans know her.

Notice the date on this - yesterday, probably written before anything was actually released. Wishful thinking.

This makes no sense to me:

“The seeming transformation that occurred in 2008, when she morphed from a pragmatic moderate into a conservative attack dog, was shocking to Alaskans.”

Have I just blotted out the entire 2008 campaign? I remember Sarah being attacked. I don’t recall her being much of an ‘attack dog’.

Yareth Rosen looks like she is obsessed with Sarah Palin, judging from a brief internet search on her name. Of course, her working at times for Reuters doesn’t help me be objective about her.

She made a fool of Joe Biden in a debate; I suppose in the small minds of the left that qualifies her as an 'attack dog'.

Yereth’s wishful thinking didn’t exactly pan out, did it? We should ALL write the Christian Science Monitor and demand his (or her - who can tell?) emails for the past two years. Was there colluding with Democrats or leftists in Alaska? Was Yereth’s objectivity as a journOlist compromised? We absolutely need to know.

The ONLY abuse of power I am seeing is from the media who is constantly making this woman’s life a living hell. All of those emails prove what a wonderful Governor Sarah was and those ass clowns who forced her out, I hope have to pay the consequences of pushing out a woman who truly did give a damn about her state.

Hopefully Sarah will just retort with where are BO’s records and let’s start with abuse of power in the WH. She’s not afraid to do it unlike other Republicans.

We've been through all the ethics complaints charges ~ most of them were totally bogus, and even the ones with a hint of question turned out to be irrelevant and had nothing whatsoever to do with her job as Governor.

I remember one about her per diem ~ all you had to do was look up the cost of a couple of tacos and a sodapop at a downtown eatery close to the State Office Building in Anchorage (where most state business is conducted) and it was pretty clear Alaska's per diem for visitors from Juneau (Alaska's capital city) was not adequate to feed them during the day.

By federal standards the state clearly owed Sarah several tens of thousands of dollars additional reimbursement. It was an error to give up $8,000.

The McLeod babe in the story is a diesel dyke who has better things to do on the Dalton Pass ~ like help push tractor trailers uphill or something.

Just more CMS BS. The Alaskans couldn’t give a **** about any “abuse of power”. This is the fags in D.C. “concerned” about “abuse of power”. They are also scared to death that Governor Palin is going to kick their boy’s @$$ in 2012. Period! That’s what this is all about.

A series of scandals and ethics investigations that continued after Palin left office have also shaped Alaskans' view of her. None has resulted in any smoking guns, but cumulatively, the persistence of multiple minor allegations has sullied her legacy here.

I see. She has done nothing wrong, but it is the seriousness of the allegation. This writer is a hack. He finds a few Palin haters and sews together a series of baseless charges.

Yereth Rosen is a Reuters boob. He is a Commie Lib who's only job is to cover Palin in AK.

The Christian Science Monitor always managas to take the left side of issues. It’s just another arm of the Democrat party using the name Christian very recklessly.

It claims it is not for evangelising, and that is fine, but maybe it should change it’s name as the name implies it is a religious themed Journal. I suppose it is religious in a way, part of the Democrat religion.

The LSM fishing expedition was a bust and the barracuda still swims. They really, really blew it and the unintended consequences will be substantial.

As expected, not much was found or revealed on the Official State e-mail account that was released on Friday. (24,000 + pages) The real issue is still being pursued. There were 2 other private accounts opened by Palin, that Palin conducted State business on. None of these e-mails have been released yet and the release of these has been blocked.

This is where the real difficulty and controversy might yet surface for Palin. There is definite sensitive information on these two other accounts that are being pursued.

In other words, the larger main State account contained nothing but inert formal correspondence. But why did Palin open two other private accounts, which were not under tight scrutiny or disclosure, from which to conduct a large portion of State business?

This will probably become the focus of the next barrage of investigations. Now that so many MSM outlets have been alerted to this aspect of the controversy, you can bet that they will pursue it.

What the outcome will be, remains to be seen.

It is “NewSpeak”, FRiend. The left doesn’t even try to hide its Orwellian vision anymore.

Keep your fingers gleefully crossed, right along with the democrats and LSM. I’m telling you, you people just can’t wait to try to destroy her.

Not very subtle, is he? Doesn't really matter. The LSM have made fools of themselves with the Palin email ‘scandal’ and if they ever try it again they'll receive a collective yawn from the public for their efforts.
