I buy it. They could care less about 56% being against it. Why? Because there’s no one in congress representing that 56%.

But about one in four opponents of the bill dislike it because it did not go far enough. These are the ones that want a fully socialized single payer system. They want "free" healthcare paid for by the taxpayer.
