Sen. Graham: Military intervention in Syria should be ‘on the table’
The Hill ^ | Sunday, June 12, 2011 | Ben Gelman

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Sunday that it’s time to consider international intervention in Syria to avoid the further “slaughter” of people there by President Bashar al-Assad’s forces.

“If it made sense to protect the Libyan people against Gadhafi, and it did because they were going to get slaughtered if we hadn’t sent NATO in when he was on the outskirts of Benghazi, the question for the world [is], have we gotten to that point in Syria,” Graham said on the CBS' "Face the Nation."

This guy has the mind of a lawyer, and a poor misdirected one at that. He’s always wanting to be the worlds policeman with our national treasure. I think most of the military parents are tired of sending their kids off to fight someone else’s battles all the time. They need to get him off the Armed Services Committee and tell him to focus on the internal problems in America, like employment and the economy. He should realize if muslims don’t like their leaders and they decide they want to overthrow it, that’s their choice. If it doesn’t work out it’s not our problem to fix.

I think we should take out the Somali pirates, first.

And what about Pakistan? I thought Obama promised he would fix Pakistan.

Hey Ms Lindsey, go to hell.

We are already fighting wars in five countries. I am at the point to saying, pull the US out of all five, also bring home the troops from Europe and Japan. I am sick of paying the way with American blood and $ for defense of these ungrateful parasites around the world, let them pay for their own.

Limp-wristed Lindsey is the prototype pol of the modern GOP: a dedicated and insufferable NWO Globalist stooge. When you support the GOP you keep guys like him and Juan McLame in power. How anyone that claims to love America and what it stands for can support sellouts like them I'll never know. I guess Mencken was right when he said, “No one in this world has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.”

Maybe the senator thinks we’ve not had enough military deaths lately or we’re not stretched thinly enough. Too many of these people act like the world is going to end next month. We need to worry about China, the long run and building and conserving national strength for real crises and actual vital interests. Where’s an Eisenhower or even a Robert Taft these days?

.
I didn’t see Linseed show any concern when the “liberated and democraticized” Iraqis started slaughtering their Christians.

We do not need an Eisenhower — we need a McArthur.

What should be on the table, Mr. Graham, is you, for examination of mental defect, and then all the voters who put you into office, for their mental defects. Invading Syria? Seriously?

Maybe The Zero is right, the 1967 borders should be respected, just wrong on who it is that should be within them - the United States.

Wonder what the candidates have to say about this... Quick, someone call their coaches and see if they can be spoon fed something.

We do not need an Eisenhower — we need a McArthur.

I wouldn't trust him either:

By nightfall the BEF had retreated across the Anacostia River where Hoover ordered MacArthur to stop. Ignoring the command, the general led his infantry to the main camp. By early morning the 10,000 inhabitants were routed and the camp in flames. Two babies died and nearby hospitals overwhelmed with casualties. Eisenhower later wrote, "the whole scene was pitiful. The veterans were ragged, ill-fed, and felt themselves badly abused. To suddenly see the whole encampment going up in flames just added to the pity."

Sad history:

Why is it that Grahamnesty is on these idiotic press shows at a ratio of about 10 to 1 vs. any other GOPer.

Wait a minute; I get it; he’s the leftwing GOPer that the press loves to love.
