I would love to see every Democrat in Congress (House and Senate) go on record either supporting Weiner, or calling for his resignation.

Call your Congressman and demand Weiners immediate resignation No, he's an injured animal now. Leave him in so he can be defeated by a Republican in the next election.

With his power and potential future influence greatly diminished, it is to the advantage of all who oppose his ideology to keep him in office for as long as possible. Having him there annuls any attempt to use his office to advance leftist ideology—he can’t push anything forward because it would be weakened by identification with him.
His voters won’t select a good replacement—keep him in office.
Just my opinion.

Interesting to note that Drudge has completely eliminated this story from his site? That’s usually the first thing I check to see if Weiner has killed himself yet...

The freekin' Weinere will probably somehow figure a way to sue his employer with emotional distress, character defamation, etc

I thought he was determined to stick it out?He said he was. Apparently, Weiner is retracting.

No, he's an injured animal now. Leave him in so he can be defeated by a Republican in the next election. 56% of his district supports him--but that was before the very damaging revelations on Friday and Saturday.
His district is very lib Democrat. An election now would be the best bet for a Republican to take the district, as a year and four months from now this will be a forgotten memory.

Wiener is not an addict. He is what we used to call in the old days an immature jerk. That is before every human foible was defined as an addiction in need of therapy. Do they have rehab facilities to wring the jerk out of someone.I doubt it.
