At the National Association of Broadcasters Service Awards on Monday, CNSNews.com asked Clyburn to what extent the federal government should regulate the Internet.

"So when we talk about the Internet and our governance of it, again, we’re talking about the on/off ramps. So no one should be worried about content regulation. That is not what we are speaking about.”

No.

'Governance' of any communication between citizens is outside your scope of authority.

Allowing the FCC to continue to exist should be restricted to keeping broadcasters from walking over each others signal.

On/off ramps indeed. If you control access, you control everything.

If they take the net, then - we, the people - have NO uncensored news or information outlets left.

The internet is our "underground railroad". obama and his ilk know the impact of "community organizing", and that is what is happening on a National level as we share our thoughts and insights into this tryrannical administration.

Of course they want it "controlled"...he's "hitler, jr.".

net off

“Mignon” means “small” or “delicate” in French. Still, a strange name in this country.

“I mean speed,” she said, “knowing exactly what you pay for, if you pay for it, making sure you get what you pay for. Ensuring that if you have a comparable product that you are treated the same way in which someone else is treated--even if there is an interest with the provider. So what we’re talking about is on parity. That’s the best word I can say.”

In other words, I'm smarter than both you and the market and you dumb folks who use the Internet need Big Brother to protect you...I need to "level the playing field" for you, stupid.

The following sounds like she was a lobbiest:

Ms. Clyburn served as the chair of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ (NARUC) Washington Action Committee and as a member of both the association’s Audit Committee and Utilities Market Access Partnership Board. Commissioner Clyburn is also a former chair of the Southeastern Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (SEARUC). Commissioner Clyburn was elected to the South Carolina PSC following 14 years as the publisher and general manager of The Coastal Times, a Charleston-based weekly newspaper that focused primarily on issues affecting the African American community.

Of all the people in the US who have experience regulating the HF and above frequency spectrum, this is the best he could find, or was the choice based on some other agenda?

Basically he is saying, we are NOT gonna tell you WHAT you can drive, but we will decide exactly WHERE, WHEN and HOW you are allowed to drive it! See, nothing to fear!

Makes perfect sense to most people! The sense to say, "NO!!!"

The bear's nose is under the tent flap.
I just want to sniff he says. To make sure all is well he says.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Don't let the gov't regulate anything more.
They disguise it as consumer protection and 'fairness' but of course that's not what it really is.
They want 'disadvantaged' groups to have 'equal' access which eventually means that 'advantaged' people and taxpayers will end up paying for the 'disadvantaged' and unemployed to sit and play on-line video games all day long.
