Actually, no difference. Innslee is a leftist cow. When we lived out there he was our congress-roach. He is a liberal cow. No changes.

Why, is she not confident that the point-spread will be tight enough that she can STEAL another election?

Let’s hope you retire with some horrible arthritis, you tyrannical, left-wing scumbag.

When “capitalists” collude with a socialist government for a monopoly over their competition and their market-base, they abandon the principles of the free-market economy and of Capitalism.

The correct term is not “crony capitalism” but “corporate socialism.”

Let’s not allow the left to control the language, once again, to cast pejoratives on traditional American values.

This is an easy battle-of-words that we can use and use to condemn socialism, the core principle of which is centralized monopoly.

Gregoire knows fully well that Washington is headed toward fiscal catastrophe as a result of 30 years of Democrat rule. She’s getting out while the gettin’s good. Her likely Republican successor will be left to take the blame from Washington’s cretinous electorate.

Actually, the correct word for this project is, fascism. The project is actually a government make work project to benefit the United Mine Workers to try to make up for the hit that the east coast coal industry is taking from Obama.

I have been using the term, “crony capitalism”, because the Republicans in this county are endorsing the Democrat project and they were recently just promoting the movie, Atlas Shrugged. Crony capitalism is Ayn Rand’s term for the fascist relationship between favored corporations and government.

Mussolini had a more memorable term for the same system: “fascism.”

Agree, the language is important. I like “corporate socialism”. And prefer “government schools” rather than “public schools” because parents and even the school boards have little input anymore.

"I think that Inslee will be harder to beat than Gregoire"

If that's the case then this is actually mediocre news.

I agree, "fascism" is actually a more precise term, Nazi style fascism. As a matter of fact the local Republicans keep mumbling something about the greater good, when I suggest that they are throwing the whole NW portion of the county under the bus for short term construction jobs. There excuse sounded suspiciously like what Hitler claimed was the Nazi motto in a telegram to Roosevelt in 1934.

"The quintessence of the German State philoosophy which finds its expression in the slogan, 'The Public Weal transcends the interests of the individual.' "

If Jay Inslee runs, that his seat is open. It was represented mostly by Republicans over the past 50 years. But only one of those Republicans (Rick White) was conservative and he only lasted two terms.

Well Washington is redrawing, I thought the rats had control but it looks like they have a commission do redistricting. It’s tied 2-2 with a non-voting chairwoman.

Old Slade Gorton is one of the Republicans on it.
