Unlike a lot of, ahem, others, they seem to believe in putting their faith into practice.

That's mighty big of you to so easily forgive Bachmann for her abject betrayal of someone who backed her up 100% in her last race.

I'm sorry, but she showed me that she has the wrong stuff when she failed to immediately fire Ed Rollins after he slammed Sarah Palin recently. Not only did she not fire him, she didn't even make him apologize.

That shows a weakness of character that I can't ignore. Neither should you.

Windflier...Backman and Palin are still on the same team...you know how football players pass the ball between them...and they are going to take pot shots between them to make the game look fair. But I am convinced Backman is simply keeping the seat warm for Palin...or that Palin and Backman are going to take the ball all the way to the finish line regardless of which won wins out.

I’m not about ready to pin them against each other with the stakes as high as they are. Both of them know this, keenly well...and they are going to play the roles necessary to keep the ball in both their hands until the final pass.

She did tonight because she thought Sarah would overshadow her. She has been my rep for 10 years state and national and has done nothing. All she does is call for money every half hr. and vote. It seems she is never at work.

Welcome Michele! And she was SUPER at the debate!

When is Rudy coming into this?

And I am waiting for that Perry (?) guy from TX. Saw him 1st time on Greta on the border question, and I really like his style. Sort of like John Wayne!

I don't see how Bachmann letting the scurrilous Ed Rollins dump on Sarah does anything to move the ball forward for either of them. It was a nasty and unprovoked attack from a quarter where we least expected it.

If this were truly some sort of reverse psychology play on their part, I don't think that Bachmann would have officially entered the race today. I also think that we would have seen an apology from Rollins by now, or even his departure from the Bachmann campaign.

Apparently, Michele looked at what happened, and concluded that she was too close to making her announcement to fire him, and that her ambitions (futile as they are) are more important than her personal honor and integrity to a true friend.

Notice also that Sarah hasn't fired back, or replied in any way. To me, that's a sure sign that she gave Michele enough time to do the right thing, and now that she hasn't, Sarah has crossed her name off the trusted friends and allies list.

Big, BIG mistake on Michele's part. I doubt that she'll ever win Sarah's trust back after this. She's lost mine as well.

“Welcome Michele!”

Good to see the proper pre-season attitude in you and a seemingly few others here.

So many seem to think it is productive to denigrate a fine fellow conservative for such silly reasons. This great lady is no damn RINO and the suggestion she is a Romney plant is just plain loony.

Yes, I understand Sarah’s lack of participation has some uptight, but there is no reason to drive a true conservative out of the race.

Michele is as conservative as any man in the race and infinitely superior to any other woman participating in the process.

Sarah is great and all and I’d probably vote for her if she graces me with that opportunity some day. I have a feeling she is just trying to work on her stubbornly high negatives for the time being before deciding to risk her reputation in actual competition.

But I fail to find the logic in those seeking to damn Bachmann, who has the guts to get in early, who is in favor of all the right stuff and who does a good job of presenting the case for Liberty. She’s not skipping training camp or holding out for whatever reason. She is in the game.

It seems particularly obtuse when fellow Righties say Michele can’t win. Haven’t we principle-based conservatives been the targets of that tactic long enough? It is said of Sarah. It was said of Reagan.

And it has been said of Bachmann since her very first race, where she beat all odds and crushed a popular fellow Republican incumbent of 18yrs - by 20 points.

Bachman is a stalking horse for Romney as she sold her political soul to be his VP.

So long, MB - enjoy your time with Rollins and Mittens!

“Bachman is a stalking horse for Romney as she sold her political soul to be his VP.”

Of course, I don’t buy that argument for one minute.

But, assuming you actually believe it, then is Sarah’s painful delay simply a tactic to allow her time to re-grow her soul after her 2008 partnership with RINO extraordinaire McCain?

It has taken time for the candidates to come to the surface...it’s going to take time for the issues to shake out as well...in every hit each candidate might give or take.

Rollins has created a lot of rift for Bachman followers but it is still early and time will tell...Sarah has her time and when she does step forward the entire dynamics of these debates will change.

That's a fact.

For now, she appears to be observing Reagan's 11th Commandment, which I suppose helps to set the bar for the rest of the field.

>Bachmanis a bomb thrower against the GOP.<

If the GOP wanted the very best interests of the U.S.A. served, it would have supported Rep. Duncan L. Hunter for President in 2008, rather than loser John McQueeg! (Not to mention loser Bob Dole in ‘92!) It would not have discarded it’s Contract With America so many years ago! no wonder there is a Tea Party movement! I give no money to the GOP. I support my candidate directly.

I thought all the cadidates did well in the debate last night. And the debate itself was handled much better than those of 2007-8. But I reserve my choice of candidate until I learn much more about them.
