'Not Any Single Reporter At Any Media Organization Thinks Palin Should Be President'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 06/14/2011 5:24:03 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

People know that the MSM despises Sarah Palin. Still, it was shocking to hear the dirty little secret so openly stated . . .

Jim Vandehei of Politico, on Morning Joe today:

"If you talk to any single reporter at any media organization that we're aware of, I don't think that anyone thinks she can be president or should be president."

Could that mean they are DEMOCRATS? DUH! I guess he doesn't consider FoxNews a media organization. Not that anyone at FoxNews has made their choice for President clear; like a balanced news organization should behave.

They are members of the Borg, but none of them are 7 of 9....

That is funny, but it is her fault ( or her hubbie's) we got stuck with Obama...

Think about that from a historical persective... Alan Keyes didn't help either...

This mental lockstep within the leftmedia has been endemic for a very long time.

Even as a kid, I remember reading about Nixon's victory over George McGovern in 1972. That's almost 40 years ago, folks. One thing I recall clearly was, when the information broke in the newsroom of the NYT (I think), everyone was dumbfounded. One of them actually blurted, "How could Nixon have won? I don't know a single person who voted for him!".

Yes, exactly.

NPR won't even mention her. They are happy to list all of the Republicans who are declared candidates. They are happy to list the Republicans who might conceivably become declared candidates (Giuliani, Perry, etc.) They never put Palin on the list.

If a guest on a show mentions her, you can hear the NPR host wave his hand dismissively "She won't run. She's doing a Donald Trump Thing. Anyway, wasn't Mitt Romney correct yesterday when he said ..."

“Groupthink defined.”

Well said and bears repeating.

Groupthink is a psychological phenomenon that occurs within groups of people. Group members try to minimize conflict and reach a consensus decision without critical evaluation of alternative ideas or viewpoints. Antecedent factors such as group cohesiveness, structural faults, and situational context play into the likelihood of whether or not groupthink will impact the decision-making process

The primary socially negative cost of groupthink is the loss of individual creativity, uniqueness, and independent thinking. While this often causes groupthink to be portrayed in a negative light, because it can suppress independent thought, groupthink under certain contexts can also help expedite decisions and improve efficiency. As a social science model, groupthink has an enormous reach and influences literature in the fields of COMMUNICATIONS, political science, social psychology, management, organizational theory, and information technology.[1]...

Joe, I can remember like it was last night the 1980 election of Reagan. CBS’ Cronkite and the NYT Tom Wicker looked like they’d been told their dogs had been run over.

“That’s because they are Leftists who have a visceral, unjustified hatred for anything or anyone good.”

That seems like an extreme statement, but, over the years, it’s exactly what I’ve come to believe.

To them, anyone or anything that tries to tell them what is (or isn’t) “good” is restricting their “freedom,” thus defining themselves, in the Liberal’s teeny-minds, as “bad.” Therefore, to them, good has BECOME bad over time... so it must follow (in liberal logic, of course) that bad is GOOD (witness his constituent’s reaction to Anthony Wiener’s little problem).

MSM are ‘useful idiots’.

They are the FIRST to be eliminated during the purges because there is NEVER a need for professional agitators.

The dictatorship will provide their OWN ‘arse’ kissing media once they’ve seized control.

The media are digging their own graves, loading the bullets into the gun, obediently lining up for their own execution and are completely oblivious to this fact.

The only joy we might see in a future dictatorship is watching the tingle in Chris Matthews leg as the bullet enters his head while his probable last thought is to blame Sarah Palin’s e-mails for his demise.

That "any single reporter" must be one smart dude/dudette.

Since I take all my political advice from "any single reporter", I guess I'll just throw in the towel...since everybody I like for a candidate, according to "any single reporter", cannot possibly compare to The Great One, Hizhigness the obama.

Wonder what "any married reporter" has to say on this?

I just love their reverse psychology approach, shows to me that they just might have a shred of patriotism left.

Perhaps I may be spilling the beans but the more they wish Sarah Palin to just disapear the more I want to know about her, and they are also providing all her credentials though they believe its damaging her or has branded her as damaged.

For every inch or every day of Obamas past that America has been mislead about the MSM has revealed about Sarah Palin, talk about super-vetting.

Jack Ryan was the man opposing 0bama for the Illinois senate seat,

and ‘bammers & company judge shopped until they found a judge that unsealed the divorce records because

“there might be something interesting in there”.

Obviously, no judge in office finds there to be anything “of interest” in 0bama’s sealed up past.

‘Bammers had the devil’s own “luck” when it came to having the way paved for him.

And thus, such groups that exist in group think mode can easily be led by the nose by strong personality types who have a tendency toward amorality and strong sociopathic tendencies. These personality types can manipulate and whip saw group think folks to their way of thinking without being manipulated themselves. It takes strong personalities, willing to endure social ostracism to counter such folks when they go really bad and corrupt!

Sometimes it can take whole armies to root them out....!
