I found this latest excuse particularly amusing because Bambi is acting as if mechanization and automation were something that just started two and a half years ago. Yeah! That’s it, that’s why there are no jobs.
The argument that mechanization destroys jobs has been around since the 19th century, with the advent of the machine.
It doesn’t destroy jobs; it replaces some and creates new ones. As long as you have a growing, prosperous economy, that is...and this is the problem under Bambi. Our economy in this stagnant welfare state is anything but growing and healthy, and even if we had a country of nothing but manual labor and tallying things up on an abacus, we’d still have unemployment (both those who can’t find jobs and those who don’t care to work).
Glenn Beck and his crew were just doing a hilarious bit about this on his radio program.

I had to laugh out loud at this. True story: Several years ago hubby took his elderly uncle, who was worth a fortune, to show him the wonderful invention of the ATM. He told him, “Now Uncle, you can get your money any time of day or night. Just punch in your code number and out comes your money.” As he demonstrated with his own card and received his money, Uncle watched with interest. Then he asked, “Who was in there to give you that money?” Hubby said, “Nobody is in there, Uncle, it done by machines and computers.” Uncle thought about that for a minute and then opined, “Huh, ain’t no wonder there’s so many people out of work.” Uncle never did get a debit card. He did as he had always done, kept his money under the mattress.

If Obama had only been around in the early part of the last century, he might have been able to save the jobs of those displaced bridle and buggy whip manufacturers.
The other ‘stupid’ thing Obama said and nobody called him out on that is HE CREATED 2 MILLION JOBS.

Actually, 0bama is unwittingly encouraging the use and development of automation and systems that increase worker productivity. The same thing happened during FDR. Because of laws that increased the power of unions, 1930s businesses sought ways to improve efficiency so that they would not have to hire more union workers. Sounds familiar? 0bama has increased costs through regulation and indirect taxes such as 0bamacare. Why wouldn’t businesses seek to maintain or increase productivity while utilizing fewer workers?
And if productivity cannot be increased, the jobs will go overseas whenever possible.
What’s scary is that concept came straight off of a university campus.
The pointy-heads have been writing for each other for years about how automation was going to make all workers obsolete soon, requiring mass government intervention.
So back when the unemployment rate was around 5.5 percent in 2002 there were no ATM’s?
This is a good example of Obama off the teleprompter. His handlers prepped him with an idea/concept and this was how he explained it.
