Man accused of using threat of pit bull to sexually assault woman

San Antonio police Thursday evening arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman at his home and threatening to bring his pit bull terrier into the residence if she refused, officials said.

Alex Martinez, 30, was set to be booked into Bexar County Jail on one count of sexual assault. A judge set bail at $75,000.

An arrest warrant affidavit states Martinez recently met the woman and the pair went to a club and to dinner Wednesday night, ending up at Martinez's house.

There, according to the affidavit, the woman refused to engage in sexual activity with Martinez and he assaulted her. He later told her he had a pit bull in the back yard as if to threaten her, “opened the back door and told her to take her pants back off or he would let the dog inside,” the affidavit states.

The woman complied out of fear, and called police from a friend's house early the next morning, the affidavit states.

Martinez told detectives the couple's sexual activity had been consensual.

I love this comment from the source.......

This just goes to show animals like this have no place in civilized society and should be neutered.

...as for the dog, he’s probably innocent of any malfeasance.

I don’t see any difference using the threat of a dog than using a threat of a “hidden” gun or knife. In this case, the bad guy used the threat of a dog.

And there are idiots who would blame the dog.
Like, Chet99!
*sigh*
In this case, the dog is merely story garnish, the real tale is the rapist creep who shouldn’t own anything tougher than a snail.
And even then under supervision.

No one can blame the dog for being used as a weapon in this case. Having said that I do hate pit bulls.

Mr. Martinez is a subhuman piece of slime (apologies if I've offended slime).

I had a friend who owned a pit bull. The dog was always kept chained in the backyard. He was a such a sweetheart. My friend understood pit bull temperament and psychology up and down. She said most people don't know a thing about pit bulls and shouldn't own one unless they train the dog properly and understand pit bull psychology. She would get all fired up railing against pit bull owners who trained their dogs to be mean.

“opened the back door and told her to take her pants back off or he would let the dog inside,”

to take them back off means they were off at some point, right?
