Change over a long period of time, hundreds of millions of years is the evidence that supports geological, paleontological and evolutionary theories. I have never heard the I.D. crowd promoting anything but a young earth where everything has come and gone in the past 10,000 years.
Are you suggesting she believes the earth is more than 4 billion years old? And, that dinosaurs lived hundreds of millions of years ago? Or, do you think she believes in a young earth that is about 10,000 years old where creatures spontaneously appear and disappear without any genetic connection through evolution?
*I* am a proud skeptic of macro-evolution, but I do believe in a universe that has existed for billions of years. However, I think that Michele has touched a subject of faith that will only bring scorn upon her. The American people, at best, will wonder why she unearthed a subject that is not on their radar. This comment will serve as a distraction, and unless she is extremely deft, it will destroy her campaign.
Most of the people I know believe in ID and evolution, and not one of them believes the earth is only 10,000 years old. ID is not Creationism.
To those reading this that believe in Creationism, I respect your point of view and have no problem with my kids discussing it in a science class or anywhere else.
