An Assembly committee has approved legislation that would ban teenagers from using tanning beds. Under current law, children ages 14 to 17 can use tanning beds with the signed consent of a parent or guardian, while those under 14 are banned outright. Under the legislation (bills A2867, A2933 and A3640, which were merged into one), nobody under the age of 18 would be able to use tanning beds, regardless of parental consent. Tanning salons would have to post signs notifying customers of the law, and the salons would be fined $100 for a first offense and $200 for each subsequent one.

In vetoing the bill he should say...
1. In answer to the liberal legislatures question;
Q. Who is your daddy? A. Not the gubmint
2. Unless your name is listed as father, mother on the birth certificate STFU

New Jersey is now following in Texas’ footsteps.
Nanny State horse sh1t.
Only too typical of New Jersey.
why are tanning beds so bad?
because they can MAYBE cause skin cancer?
...yet the Government actually PAYS for women to have abortions, that studies since 1957 show SIGNIFICANTLY raise the risk of dying from breast cancer.
...or the CAFE standards, that force lighter cars, which result in thousands of extra deaths EVERY year...
the value of a SINGLE life, seems to vary quite a bit, if you are a liberal...
“Nanny State horse sh1t.”
“Only too typical of New Jersey.”
And Texas.
G*ddammit. Nanny-state government can s*ck my b*lls.
If it’s something Rick Perry signed into law, then he’d better forget about running for President, as far as I’m concerned.
Liberal logic...
Abortion is a choice.
Smoking and tanning beds are murder
Will they outlaw sunning at the beach next? Go back to those 19th century burkha-like bathing suits? lol
They can get an abortion without their parents signing, but they cannot get a tan.
I guess that makes sense to someone, by the way why bother with a signature, where do you think the kids get the money for a tanning salon? If Mama shells out the money isn’t that permission?
Can’t do that but I’m sorry to say this, this law is okay. Teenagers are morons.
I’ll go one further. A complete ban on cancer beds altogether.
What if the parents buy the kid one? What if the kid allows friends to use it?
Socialists are the real morons.
They’ll taze you bro.
You can’t have a party with beer at your house with High School graduates in some states. Some parents thought it would be a good idea to know where their kids were and at least they were home while drunk and stupid.
Gubmint knows what’s best for your kids.
Nanny Perry signed a similar bill into law in Texas.
Let me guess - some Democrat has a business plan that involves chartering buses or limos to take NJ teens to Pennsylvania or New York for tanning excursions...
The first crime free state in the US - they’ve solved all crime and everything; well since they have time to work on this law.
You are the king of your own castle. If you don’t want your teenage daughter to use a tanning bed, that’s your business.
Not the gubmints. If she won’t listen to you, your state public serpents can’t help you with feel good laws.
On the positive side, they’ll think your cool after they are done being teenagers.
