Michele Bachmann ‘glittered’ by gay-rights activist

Presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann joins fellow conservatives Newt Gingrich and Tim Pawlenty in being attacked with glitter by gay rights activists.

According to the Star Tribune, the Minnesota congresswoman was “glittered” Saturday after delivering a speech at the RightOnline Conference. The publication reports that Minneapolis gay-rights activist Rachel E.B. Lang came up to Bachmann and twice chucked glitter at her. (Major Garrett critical of 2012 Bachmann bid because ’she can’t keep anybody on her staff’)

Bachmann continued walking even as Lang yelled, “You can run, but you can’t hide.” Lang was quickly removed by security.

“My response to Michele Bachmann’s hateful and anti-gay rhetoric was light-hearted, but these issues are very serious,” Lang said in a statement. “Bachmann’s support of groups like ‘You Can Run But You Cannot Hide’ show exactly how extremist she is — she in no way represents the values of Minnesota and certainly does not represent the values of America.”

During former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s book signing in San Francisco last week, two females threw pink glitter and feathers on him.

Last month, a protester dumped glitter onto Gingrich and his wife Callista during the former House speaker’s book signing.

You are completely correct and vouchers are the key. In AP US History and AP US Government children are taught the socialist history of the United States. These very students go on to colleges, graduate and become our elites controlling the thoughtspace of our country.

Vouchers get the ball rolling, but there really wasn’t a golden era of American political activity. It ended with the ratification of the Constitution and politics began. Packaging a candidate has always taken precedence over reality.

That said, conservatives have to communicate more effectively. Some need to change their diapers and grow up. An objective review of Reagan’s Presidency would show a lot of compromise while trying for victory wherever possible. That’s the nature of a republic.

What we will end up with is what we’ve got: a slow muddle. My hope is it is a slow muddle away from statism. That can only happen if we control Congress for a generation or two. To do that we’ll need a majority which will have to contain RINOs. Will there be compromises? Yes.

But take a look at how 2nd Amendment activists have walked the country back toward the Constitution. Look at how medical technology and a relentless philosophical assault have moved the nation away from unfettered abortions. We’re winning, despite the billions of dollars spent indoctrinating our kids. Let’s not lose hope.

This crisis is an opportunity, but we only control one legislative house out of three. We need 2/3s to make things happen and pick up the pace, but having a the Presidency for judicial appointments and a closely divided legislature would work as well. Sometimes slow and steady change is best. It is what Americans like as long as they’re economically satisfied.

It doesn’t and they won’t be. You have to raise the debt ceiling. We only control the House, but you can wring concession out of them and we are.

The question that must be asked is “what is to be gained, what is to be lost?”.

You have to raise the debt ceiling.

No you don't.

If the Republicans do not attach a complete repeal of Obamacare to the debt ceiling, Republicans are finished.

Limbaugh has said that this is what should be done - - and I have said it months before that.

The question that must be asked is “what is to be gained, what is to be lost?”

Gaining another Democrat entitlement and losing the country...

You are a brilliant strategist...
