It just goes down to their [only] core beliefs:

Advancement of communism is a moral good.
Thwarting that advancement is evil.

Not nearly good enough if this were the extent of it (which it probably won't be). What kind of disincentive is it if on the rare occasions they get caught AND get called on the carpet, they can make it go away by throwing a relatively minor figure under the bus? NONE, that's what kind. I'm not sure loss of position is enough, no matter HOW high it goes. If they conceived this plan to gin up evidence to then be used to fraudulently violate or limit our civil rights under color of law, they should be off to the pokey, not the unemployment office. And even THAT's letting them off easy.

There could BE no disincentive too harsh in a case like that.

There is plenty of room under the bus. This is just the first sacrificial lamb. You can bet it came from higher than this to allow this fiasco. My bet is at least Holder.

Good. Now slap his ass with a Subpeona and put him under oath in front of Issa’s committee.

There should be enough information and evidence out for Mexico to issue indictments & arrest warrants for various ATF officials and the director.

All the way to Obama,Jarrett and his entire admin.Common sense prevails otherwise. Issa Promised the family Justice all around so the next move is a subpoena to Kenneth Melson whether he resigned or not.

In a few days don’t be surprised to find this guy on the missing person’s list, turning up in a parking garage somewhere in a few weeks.

The only botched part of it is that it generated whistle blowers willing to tell the truth about it.

The cover up after the fact is the corruption.

Hey. Weiner hasn’t resigned, either. No letter to Boehner. He just SAID he will resign.

Did Melman actually have responsibility for the plan, or is he just the scapegoat? Is he a Republican?

They want the head of the ATF in Chicago to head up the ATF after the resignation. They wanted him in before, but the repubs didn’t want him. So, they are finding a way to get their guy in one way or another. What do they say about not letting a crises go to waste. How ya like that one?

Nah, doesn't it require Senate approval? Just let this guy resign and don't confirm the replacement. Who cares if the JBT department can't function? They shouldn't be anyway. If The Won can come up with an acceptable replacement, then fine. No reason to be too accommodating, THEY'RE the ones that want the department to exist in the first place.

It’s pretty corrupt that they would use this plan as a means and cover for their anti gun laws. They were spouting off how 90% of guns in Mexico came from the US just before this operation started. They told dealers to sell the guns, told the agents to let them go over the border when they wanted to stop the trucks. They knew people would be killed, why...so they could tally numbers and say they were from illegal gun purchases and tighten control. That alone is corruption. Their lies and cover up is more corruption.

Issa will get to “Black Panther” Holder, and to the Moslem-In-Chief, Omoslem.

The whole cabal of dirty moslem commies will tumble from their magic carpet, one way or another.

As soon as they find a landing zone with a muzzle on him, the bus will move out of the basement and take him out.
