We frequently see reports of "human-caused" fires near the Mexican border. Anybody with intellectual honesty (rules out Newsies) know illegal aliens are probably causing the vast majority of the fires.

Both the Sheriff and McCain have put themselves in a position to be attacked. Their statements are entirely politically incorrect. We are not supposed to notice when illegal aliens commit crimes in this country. When you do you be quickly labeled as an obvious racist. I don’t know anything about the sheriff, but McCain spends most of his energy sucking up to the Left (unless he running for President, of course) and has made his views supporting amnesty for illegal aliens well known. (Yes, I know he calls it something else, but it is still amnesty.) McCain has nothing to gain by blaming the wildfires on illegal aliens. He is not up for reelection in the near future. I am inclined to believe that he is telling the truth on this one.

The good news is that if illegals did start the fires, they burned out a whole lot of their cover for illegal crossings.
