Obama is trying to use his executive powers to enforce the Dream Act even though Congress couldn’t pass the legislation. Chris Wallace lays out the details:
I.C.E has announced changes to its deportation program. Agents are now specifically urged to consider whether an illegal is studying in high school or college or is serving or did serve in the military.
Krauthammer says that this is outright lawlessness on the part of the Obama administration because they are doing the same thing with the Dream Act that they did with Cap and Trade, using the EPA to enforce it anyway. He says we have a rule of law where the Congress creates the laws and the Executive executes them. By forcing agents to not deport illegals who are studying in high school or college is running and end around Congress. Further, he adds, by not basing this on the rule of law, the criteria that agents and prosecutors will use to make these judgments becomes arbitrary and unfair which means someone may get to stay that should be deported and visa-versa.
When addressing the political implications of this, that the Republicans risk becoming the party of deportation as suggested by his colleagues, Krauthammer simply states that the Constitution trumps politics. He adds that if we secure the border and then try to work out some type of program to give illegals a path to citizenship, then the American people will be generous if they know this is the last batch that will need this type of program. But if the border isn’t secured and illegals just keep pouring in, then the American people won’t go for it.
So after all this time NOW Krauthammer is taking the bull by the tail after the likes if Palin have already done the footwork?
Nothing new. Obama has only enforced the laws he liked and has openly ignored the ones he didn’t.

Nobody should be surprised. If Obama doesn’t get his way, he uses the executive order. I can bet we would be shocked if we found out how much of this country is gone behind our backs.

Why are people so stunned by this?
The month after he was inauguarated (actually, in February, only a few days later) he issued an executive order permitting in something like 80,000 people from Muslim countries on “humanitarian grounds.” They were to be admitted as refugees. Naturally, none of them were Christians; you had to be a “refugee” fleeing from the evil US military or from some local rival Muslim group. And he has renewed this order every year.
He took away from the Latin American quota to do this, btw, so one of the reasons we have so many Latin American illegals is that the legal permits are not up to the demand (for laborers, agricultural workers, etc.) or the supply, and Obama reduced it even further.
Nobody needs more Muslim immigrants. They’re ignorant and even the ones with college degrees are ignorant and hate us (remember, several of the 9/11 bombers had degrees and I think a couple of them even had advanced degrees and had studied at US institutions). They bring their hideous 7th century “culture” with them. And they want to kill us and take us over.
Other than that, I guess it’s all good.

Another thing, how much effort will have to be put in by ICE to prove they’re in school? It’s easy to get fake driver’s licenses so a college I.D. will be even easier.
