It’s a great rest to not feel obligated to create deathless prose on cue every day.
I have jumped into the black art of forging my own knives an some tools. Baby steps for now as I’m still collecting tools for my own small forge while I hang around with locals who have excellent facilities.
Yeah I have some time now an then for a hammer-in event where I get lots of professional guidance. I’ve made 1 good item for every 20 I’ve ruined ....:o)
Sources right now are old railroad spikes an vehicle springs old broken tools etc... Lots of fun . Brother from down your way has two knives I made from files. He uses em on his road trips he liked em so much.
Oh well... To hot to hammer here these last few days. No rain since January an none exected .. Gonna go find a swimming pool an a beer... Its 109 here with 38 mph winds.
