Obama is ending Bush's useless war, for if AQ had not picked Afghanistan, it could have operated in any number of countries. They certainly didn't need a base for what they pulled off here on 9/11. After all, AQ or its equivalent has been allowed its training camps within the US for probably 15 years. So, what was the point? Burning up capital? Wasting our military abroad? More debt? Propping up Europe's oil supply? Making sure everybody uses dollars for oil so that the Fed could go on printing money? What??? That's sure what it looks like.
A "War on Terror" should have been fought here, not by the military, but by the MILITIA. This is what the Second Amendment was designed to address. We should have killed, captured, or expelled every Islamic radical in the country. It would have built the communications and logistics infrastructure by which to preclude our emerging domestic communist threat. We should have built a border that means something.
That is a project Bush never even contemplated, and would have in fact, virulently opposed. Instead, he built the organizational foundations of a police state, fanned his ego with the housing bubble, allowed the Clinton regulatory juggernaut to take the country down. When it finally did, he handed the keys to a communist.

Obama should be indicted and tried for murder because of his insane rules of engagement.

Buchanan blames Bush.

I heard a report this morning on Afghanistan's economy. Of their total GDP, 96% is due to military and civilian expenditures and investments from international sources. In other words, the country basically doesn't have an official economy. Drug trade is about it. How do you run a government without any money and no credit? The whole thing has become a joke.

And the media will be silent until after the fact...
The media, including Fox News, is obsessed with the Kasey Anthony white trash drama right now, and unfortunately many in America are as well. Obama could announce all kinds of things and it would warrant a 30 second mention before they got back to their analysis of Anthony.

Frankly, I do want all the troops to come home from Afghanistan as soon as possible. I also want to leave a few goodies behind...... a nuke on every hilltop and valley from Northern Afghanistan down on thru into Pakistan proper. You don't have to convince their hearts and minds if they don't exist anymore.
