There is more to this story than you can imagine
fort calhoun is not even running. It is shut down. Has been for months.
When I was in the Navy we were at a stop in Portsmouth, England. There was a group of us in a hut waiting for a launch to take us back to the ship when 3 British MPs came in and walked up to a man sitting on one of the benches. The asked him “are you Mr. So-and-So?” He said he was then they took his arms, stood him up and told him he was under arrest for the crime of rape. Then they hauled him out.
The next day we found out that he had met a girl at a bar and had sex with her at a hotel. The lady, who was married, made up a story about being raped when her husband asked her why she had been out so late. She recanted at the police station.
Cooper Nuclear Station is definitely an issue. They have kept it running through what may turn out to be the worse floods in modern history. One dam breaks now and Game Over. What the heck is that plant powering anyway ? Something of strategic importance ? Why is it still running ? They elected not to restart Fort Calhoun due to the flooding. Why keep Cooper running ?
Flood wall fails at Calhoun. I had heard a couple of days ago this was likely. They lost a couple of buildings; or at least they are full of water now.
