Nope, the violence is in Chicago. Detroit is downright quiet these days.

Detroit would be better for “Urban Ruins Tours”.

My, my. Those Democrats seem to leave a path of destruction everywhere that they go.

Wholly crap! I was just kidding about Sarah Palin being to blame for this, but here's what Chicago's Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said about a month ago about another Chicago shooting....

Speaking to parishoners at St. Sabina Church earlier this month, Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy took to the microphone after Father Michael Pfleger spoke about gun control.

McCarthy said the topic of race is a sensitive issue "because everybody's afraid of race" but that he wasn't afraid to broach the subject.

"So here’s what I want to tell you. See, let’s see if we can make a connection here. Slavery. Segregation. Black codes. Jim Crow. What, what did they all have in common? Anybody getting’ scared? Government sponsored racism."

"Now I want you to connect one more dot on that chain of the African American history in this country, and tell me if I’m crazy. Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centers across this country, that are killing our black and brown children," he said.

McCarthy illustrated his point by recalling a crime scene investigation while he was a police official in Newark, New Jersey where five children were shot, two of whom were killed. McCarthy said when he got home, he turned on his television to unwind and found an episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" showing.

"She was caribou hunting and talking about the right to bear arms. Why wasn't she at the crime scene with me?"

McCarthy: NRA, Palin a part of 'government-sponsored racism'

LOL. Maybe they can hire the same artist who crafted this honoric monument in Seattle's Pioneer Square.

You mentioned Sarah Palin. When the shooting of Rep. Giffords happened, there were so many websites where posters blamed Palin. It's remarkable people will make such immediate conclusions based on their own limitations and frightening perspectives.

The liberals have helped to make a permanent under class. And this is the results. It started with welfare/food stamps to only single women with children and no head of household. Isn’t that special. Wonder why the inner-city has so many unwed mothers? Could it be that the government encouraged and rewarded this kind of behavior? No that couldn’t be it. I mean after all big government just needs to throw more money at the problem. Yea, that’s worked out real well for the government run schools.

Chicago gun control laws are working. heh heh .....maybe Rahm can go to the streets and ask the thugs pretty please to stop killing themselves........

Chicago needs end it's gun laws that hurt the honest citizens ability to protect themselves AND less corruption from top to bottom in city government.

The corruption of the patronage system has gone on too long.

The Chicagoland corruption has even spread to the White House.

Gee only one killed on a Saturday night in Chicago? That’s well under the new norm for that city.

The Lenin statue is in the Fremont district, maybe five miles from Pioneer Square. That doesn’t make Seattle any less of a leftoid looney bin, though.

Thanks for the assist. I think I do that every time I post that pic.

I don't know why I have a mental block on that. We have a Fremont here in California and it's at least as Leninophilic as Seattle. You'd think that would serve as a memory device.

I feel sorry for the folks who live in Chicago and have to put up with this day after day.

Most Chicagoans don't have to put up with much violence at all. If you look at a Chicago homicide map, the bulk of these murders are almost all taking place in just a few neighborhoods.
