This farmstead north of Omaha completely flooded. The house is hard to see due to the trees, but it is right above the smaller grain bins.

Unexcusable they didn’t have the gates open long before in anticipation of the melting snows and spring rains. Even with the excess rains, it shouldn’t have been this bad if they’d managed it better months ago.

Those Billions that Obama and criminals send to other countries should be helping our people..The ones he is helping are enemies of ours and have been for years..Keep our money home Obama..And keep your fool wife home if she wants to feel sorry for someone then let her look around here..Family's here need food and lodging because of her Husband and his communist half wits..

Egypt and Libya are know enemies but yet you all still line their pockets for them to be able to send terrorist to our lands to kill..

>>>Even with the excess rains, it shouldn’t have been this bad if they’d managed it better months ago.

But they had to maintain a water level to protect a fish population... on that would not have been there in the first place were it not for the damn dams... Corps of Engineers is gonna have a lot of ‘splainin to do when it’s all said and done and they look back with their 20-20 hindsight...

They can explain an make excuses until the cows come home but many of those cows drowned and their owners lost their homes and livelihoods which can never be made right again. PC and EPA will be the death of the USA.

Your Government at work.......(Or lack thereof)

One would think that the great floods from ‘93 would have taught them something. I remember films of caskets floating from graveyards into the Mississippi.

The MSM is trying to make this flood look like it's the first time.

I know that the Arkansas rice crop is a 3/4 loss this year. So now I wonder how much flooding related crop losses have and are occurring in other states this year.

You’ve all got my prayers.

You’ll need ‘em.

Montana’s running Flood Stage on practically every stream in the state, reservoirs are full to overflowing and that record snow we had last winter hasn’t half started to melt off yet.

This mess we’ve got gets downstream to you all at one time, the flooding you’ve got now is going to look tame.

I’m betting on a whole bunch of early retirements in BLM and Corps of Engineers this summer, if that’s any comfort.

Guess we just get to pay up and shut up. Again.

Has the a**hat who calls himself President declared this a disaster area yet? Has he sent anyone down to check this out and try to help?

I would guess the answer to both questions is NO. Where are all the demwits who screamed about Katrina, why aren't they condemning Bozo the way they did Bush? I know the answer and as always the propaganda org of the left wing, the MSM, is remaining virtually silent on this disaster to the fly over country.

In 12+ years of visiting FR daily, I have never seen a better post than yours (OK, Buckhead's is equal, but that's it!). I was astounded even before noticing that each picture is linked to its larger original.

You have turned your vigilance into action.

These are great pictures of a very bad situation. Mis-management by the corp of engineers or the OBUMMER administration.
Is Epply in risk of flooding or the Industrial park area around it and the power plant?

We had a thunderstorm roll though Saturday AM. in Omaha. Left 2 feet of standing water in the streets just 1 block north of the ballpark where the college world series is. Good thing there was no game yesterday.

We have a 3-4 ft plastic covered sand-berm encircling our shop just 10 blocks north of this stadium. Our tool boxes are all on flat bed trailers.

It's all been a lot of work and will be all summer.Lots of nervous people here. Rightly so.

Is this area prone to flooding in t North Omaha by Epply?

Yes. It can be if a levee is breeched or topped. The biggest problem right now in our area, (which is near Epply), is storm sewers backing up. We have many massive pumps operating now just to pump out the lines.

They are hauling in 1,100 loads of "seepage blanket" material to put on the levee on the Council Bluffs side over the next three days.

Those photos should go viral. If so, CoE, EPA and Obama may well go too.

My prayers are with you.

My niece lives in that general vicinity, and she’s completely cleared out of there until this is all over. I’m glad.
