Sarah Palin's camp is reaching out to activists and operatives in Iowa about setting up meetings while she's in the state Tuesday for the screening of a documentary about her - including with Chuck Laudner, a former Iowa GOP executive director and prominent conservative.

Laudner confirmed to POLITICO he'd gotten a call from Palin's advisers either Friday or over the weekend asking about meeting with him while she's in Pella for the screening of "The Undefeated."

Perry is definitely running, you are correct.

But IF Palin is premiering the film in Iowa, and then she opts not to run...I think she is going to have to answer for a whole lot of teasing.

If she doesn’t run, she is going to play right into the hands of those who say that all she wants to do is get in the limelight.

I think she’s running. The alternative is that she is completely phony...and I don’t think she has demonstrated that.

Now...the tone/form/content of her campaign now that she is running in the same primary with Perry will be interesting.

Palin hasnt reached out to prominent IA GOPers like Branstad, Scheffler. I’ve spoken to several operatives here. None have heard from her

Singleton is a volunteer who’s been in IA for several months but doesn’t work for Palin. Ppl here sometimes assume he does

Chuck Laudner tells me Palin aides did NOT reach out to him about IA meeting. Peter Singleton, who’s not a SP aide, did

has the support of Rep. King.

Political support means nothing to me, it's citizen support that matters. I've never been swayed by what the old 'you owe me/I owe you' cronies do.

Who ever said that Perry was running? A lot of anonymous sources and hype bloggers like AllahPundit at HotAir but the Perry camp said no decision each time. In fact a lot have been saying that Perry is the one that likes the attention since he gets a lot of beating up in TX over various issues. Perry said that he would get in only if Sarah didn’t and by the way Sarah has been building her staff up and Organize4Palin have been building up...she is prime ready right now to run than Perrys camp

To the leftists, and the subversives, and their foolish cousins and little helpers—flee!

Flee far and wide. Your time is short.

Are you serious? Answer to who and for what? It's IS HER campaign, no one elses. Can you think of anyone else you would say that about?

What’s the latest possible date she announce?
I think mid October is the absolute deadline. We've had Presidents within my lifetime (I'm still under 50) who didn't announce they were running until the October of the year before the election, campaigning just over a year. I don't remember if that was Clinton or someone else, but I do know that has happened within the past 30 years.

She keeps the smear machine at bay to some degree by not announcing. The MSDNC folks feel comfortable with only a day every week or two of "We hate Palin" focus, rather than 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, "Sarah Palin is horrible, how could she run for President." Right now, those clowns think they have won the battle and scared her away.

As long as she's polling well, with better favorables than the actual candidates, there's not a lot to gain by announcing, and some things to lose by announcing earlier than she absolutely has to. When she's included in a poll, she's polling ahead of most of the "not Romney" candidates.

I don't see much in the way of negatives. She might jump in before the Ames Iowa straw poll, or she might wait until the fall.

Until then, she's the mama grizzly in the room that everyone tries to ignore. The other candidates might think they can ignore her, but that might not work out so well.

She won't let all this organization on her behalf go to waste. I really think she will run (is actually running now). The only other explanation is that she will turn her organization(s) to support another candidate and play "king/queen maker."

And Perry/anybody won’t happen, because Perry is not well known enough.

I’d rather vote for her than for Perry. But I believe Perry is going to run. If he doesn’t and she does, look for her to pick Perry as VEEP.

She’s finally starting to test the waters.

As I said months ago, the best time for her to make a move would be Early August, during the slow time when DC, and much of the political media Hate Machine, is on Vacation.

EVERYBODY knows who she is already, and it’s not like she’ll have any name recognition problems.

No one else is premiering a documentary in Iowa.

She is in a category of one (as is often correctly pointed out around here).

But I’m not really worried, as all indicators is that she is running. Like I said, the only other (logical) alternative is that she just wants to be in the spotlight, and nothing in her history actually suggests that. So she’s running.

LINK-APRIL 16, 2011

"We're flat broke, but he thinks these solar shingles and really fast trains will magically save us.

So now he's shouting, all aboard the bullet train to bankruptcy."

Well, Mr. President, we’re not going to get used to it. Not now. Not ever.

You ignored us in 2010. But you cannot ignore us in 2012.

Mr. President, you and your cohorts threw all the hatred and all the violence you could at these good folks in Madison, Wisconsin. But you lost here.

And Madison, you defended the 2010 electoral mandate. You are heroes, you are patriots, and when the history of this Tea Party Movement is written, what you accomplished here will not be forgotten.

Your historic stand brought down the curtain on the last election. And the 2012 election begins here.

We will take the courage and the integrity that you showed all of America. We will take it and we will win back our country!

God has shed His grace on thee, America. We will not squander what we have.

We will fight for America! And it starts here in Madison, Wisconsin!

It starts here! It starts now! What better place than the state that hosts the Super Bowl champs to call out the liberal left and let them know:

Mr. President, game on!
