NO NO NO. The law passed FORCES online retailers to have a footprint in California to specifically collect and process the taxes. The end result will be Amazon and a host of other online retailers denying sales to any California resident. If you sell here, you must have a footprint. Bye bye Amazon.

Next move, Google’s response, will they have to shut down their search engine in CA to avoid paying taxes on the advertizing click throughs? Not sure how that is written into the law.
