Obama regulatory czar claims Bush was worse on rules
Washington Times ^ | 28 June 2011 | Dave Boyer

President Obama's regulatory czar told a Capitol Hill gathering Tuesday that the administration has produced fewer burdensome rules for industry than did the administration of President George W. Bush.

"There is no tsunami" of regulations, said Cass Sunstein, administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, at a symposium on innovation on Capitol Hill, rejecting complaints from the business community and congressional Republicans that the administration's regulatory policies had harmed the economy and cost U.S. jobs.

Industry leaders have complained about the growth of costly regulations under Mr. Obama. It was U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Thomas Donohue who first called the new round of regulations — on banking, health care, energy and the environment — under Mr. Obama a "tsunami."

But Mr. Sunstein argued that the administration is streamlining rules and relations of some 30 executive agencies. "The annual cost of regulations has not increased during the Obama administration," he said. "In its last two years, executive agencies in the Bush administration proposed far higher regulatory costs than did those agencies in the Obama administration in our first two years."

The “Bush did it too” and “Bush did it worse” cards have been played by the Hussein admin. on just about every issue imaginable since day one. Fewer and fewer people are buying.

The truth is what they say it is and the new regulations will continue until the serfs agree with them or die, whichever is first.

So, if my second wife says that I shouldn’t complain because my first wife cheated on me worse that should make everything okay?

Bush was pretty bad with the nanny regs I grant you (see: light bulbs, TSA). But nothing even close to these hard-core Socialists in there now. I mean, they want to send undercover cops to my yard sale to look for obsolete cribs, for cripes sake!

No nation can tolerate treason,
for traitors are never in season.
But Obozo’s on course,
with Marx as his source,
and when asked, smirks and says “I’ve my reasons.”

They are stuck on stupid and have been reduced to two excuses, or is that one? It’s Bush’s fault and it is worse than we thought.

No need to argue.

Repubbies and Dems can share the blame.

Just repeal all the Nanny State laws passed since JFK was sworn in.

Then go back and kill all the watchdog and oversight bureaucracies created since then.

Then repeal all the laws, rules regulations and bureaucracies created to re-engineer society and force political correctness and “social justice” on everyone and every business and organization in America.

Then stand back and watch business take off!
