No Panic Yet, but Real Fear (for Obama and Dems)
The Washington Times ^ | July 1, 2011 | Wesley Pruden

Posted on 07/01/2011 7:15:46 AM PDT by no dems

The 2012 presidential marathon is on, and one mainstream pollster (Rasmussen) says a Republican apparition is opening up a lead on President Obama. (Any Republican 46 percent, Barack Obama 42 percent.) A growing number of Democrats figure that whoever can keep his head in the rattle and bang of unexpected events just doesn’t understand the situation.

If the president is not yet in full panic mode, he’s right to be running scared. Class warfare is the Democratic default mode, and Mr. Obama is looking for the panic button earlier than incumbents usually do. He warns darkly of many bad things — “significant and unpredictable consequences” — unless Republicans agree to raise the debt limit and stand by to raise taxes.

And here comes the apparition, slowly becoming flesh. The Republican field is sorting itself out, as presidential fields always do. Only a month ago, anyone would have imagined there might not be an audience this season because everyone was a player on stage. Now Mitt Romney, steady as she goes but a little shopworn; Michelle Bachmann, improving with experience; and Rick Perry, maybe a Texas messiah and maybe not, are all the buzz. Tim Pawlenty, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, like vaudevillians who couldn’t quite play Peoria, seem to have been jerked back to obscurity by the man with the hook. Of course, there’s always tomorrow.

The GOP controlled House and the Conservatives in the Senate must stick to their guns during these difficult days or the Tea Party and true Conservatives will make them pay in 2012.

The quarterback 0bama has trouble advancing the ball down the field.

People in the stands see the incompetence. The cost to drive to the stadium is higher than they imagine and the food is expensive.

They look around the stadium and see one in five seats empty (20%) but the PA announcer just stated that attendance is down only 9% from a year ago.

If we could count on an honest election I would say the odds are good that Obama will be defeated. But we won’t ever have another honest election until there is a second American revolution or other major shake up in governmment.

There may be some concern about democrats losing a few senate seats but I don’t think they are concerned very much at all about Obama’s re-election.

Don’t forget the vast amount of money behind Obama in 2008.
Those backers are still there ready to buy another election.

And don’t forget the traditional democrat September Surprise.

Obama’s backers almost destroyed the US economy in the fall of 2008 with their orchestrated financial crisis. You can bet they have something equally destructive planned for 2012. These people will be happy to see the US destroyed rather than lose their power.

What can we expect in September 2012? A nuclear blast? Collapse of the Fed? You can bet whatever it will be the plan is already being fine tuned.

What I fear is what what Obama will do to try to remain in power? He does not love this country and would not give a damn what happens to it as a result of his actions. As a narcissistic personality if he sees that he will lose the election he will do his best to destroy our great nation.

Don’t forget that the QB has been ordering his players to mug and rob the white fans to pay off his homeboys.

I don't expect it to get funny when it falls apart. I expect it to get very ugly.

Think in these terms: domestic gunwalker.

That would probably work out well. It once again points to his disregard of the law,his arrogance, his ignoring the fact that poll after poll says cut spending and not raise spending. It will no doubt make the next presidents job harder but i have to think makes it easier to get him out. Perhaps thats why it took so long for them to start floating this idea. They know it will hurt them.

and the announcer (MSM)keeps commenting on the intelligence and skill the quarterback has shown on all 6 possessions..(even though they haven’t scored yet)....He mentions the opposing team has scored 4 sloppy and very lucky touchdowns in the last 5 possessions...concluding... that its only a matter of time before the game plan of the highly intelligent and skilled quarterback destroys the opposing teams sloppiness and luck....and 40% of the remaining fans nod their heads in agreement..

Imagine life with no tea party, this country would already be over. Tea party is holding GOP to a bit of a higher level of responsibility

Re: Domestic gunwalker. The feral humans living in the cities would be the recipients. They are notoriously pack-like and apparently incapable of the self-sufficiency necessary to conduct asymmetric warfare outside the cities. They would end up with no one to shoot except themselves. What do you think?

And don’t forget the traditional democrat September Surprise.
And if the Pubbies were "street-smart fighters" politically (which they're not) they could counter with the infamous "OCTOBER SURPRISE".... As my 6th Grade teacher, Ms. West, used to say: "Let's put out thinking caps on".... and come up with one that will drive President Clueless back to the cesspool called Chicago.

They know she’s inevitable.

They knew it the first time they saw her.

It's why they go insane every time they think of her.
