Two men were killed and 11 other people were wounded in incidents around the city beginning late Friday.
One fatality occurred in a shooting about 11:15 p.m. Friday in the University Village neighborhood, where two males were shot, one fatally, in the 1300 block of West 13th Street, according to police News Affairs officer Ron Gaines.
The fatality was identified as Javone Oliphant, 22, of the 5000 block of West Maypole Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He was pronounced dead at 12:09 a.m. at Stroger after police said he was shot in the chest and the head.

I well remember Oprah saying that Obama was the captain of their team.
And Michelle Obama at the time said that the strategy for Copenhagen was “take no prisoners” as they lobbied for Chicago.
Heck the Olympic failure may even be part of why Daley decided to retire. It was to be his crown jewel. I’m sure he would have wanted to still be mayor in 2016 if he would get to preside over the Olympics.
