‘I see the worry creasing his face’: Michelle Obama reveals the toll of presidential office on her husband

By Daily Mail Reporter

Last updated at 1:22 PM on 1st July 2011

First lady Michelle Obama gave a fascinating insight into just how heavily the weight of office rests on her husband's shoulders and how the job of president has taken it's toll.

Speaking at a fund-raiser for the Democratic National Committee in Massachusetts she told of his total dedication to the job and told how she worries about the increasing number of lines on his face

She said: 'I see the worry creasing his face. I hear the passion and determination in his voice.

''You won’t believe what these folks are going through;' he told me that last night.

''Michelle, it is not right. We’ve got to fix this. We have to do more,'

'Barack always reminds me that we are playing a long game,

'He reminds me, as I said to you, too, that change is slow.

'He reminds me that change doesn’t happen all at once, but that if we keep showing up, if we keep fighting the good fight, doing what we know is right, then eventually we will get there, because the truth is we always have in this country. We always have.'

Michelle Obama said that when her husband first told her he was planning to run for president she had serious doubts about how it would affect their young family.

She added: 'I was proud of the work that he was doing in the Senate. And I thought that he would make a phenomenal president.

'That wasn’t the issue.

She should see the wrinkles on my face after watching this inept, clueless man running my country!

“We want to thank the DNC, the White House staff and press corps, Code Pink, Media Matters, George Soros, the world communist movement, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Rahm Emanuel, Richard Daley, Dick Durban, and so many countless other liberals for writing such a wrenching, emotional, pity-me narrative. Most of all, we want to thank Teleprompter, Jr. for helping Michele...How about a big round of applause for Tele Jr.!!!!!”

Does this mean the race thing is wearing thin yet?

"‘I see the worry creasing his face’: Michelle Obama"

Boo-fu**ing-hoo! The nation watched as the stress and strain of the presidency caused George Bush to get old, and there was no outpouring of sympathy from the Leftist media. And the Obammunist gets a pass from the same media when he golfs three weekends a month.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

I guess a ‘plus’ here is that it is from the London Daily Mail, a ‘thinking’ person would say even the NYT and WP don’t believe this trite BUT they probably believe it and are afraid to expose this idiocy to the masses.

Obammy was never cut out for this job, and neither was McCain. Maybe Obammy will just explode from the pressure one day while on the air, LIVE?

Well Moochelle, if he wasn’t such a crappy America hater and was smart enough to do the job, he wouldn’t have it so tough.

Why don’t you save him by asking him to resign. We would all understand.

she told of his total dedication to the job

With Obama's work ethic which involves only a few hours of actual work everyday and lots of golf and vacations, I wonder if even his wife could say this with a straight face.

Mooshy seems to be laying the foundation for the idea of a
one-term Obama Presidency, a ‘possibility’ Obama himself has been floating for quite awhile: this is a tricky and cynical two-forked approach-—as time goes on, and more and more of his original constituencies desert him, he needs to be seen as someone “who just cared TOO MUCH”, and also as someone who may just chuck it all out of deference to his family committments: this is designed ALSO and AT THE SAME TIME to rally all those constituencies BACK to him, with a renewed sense that , yeah, the kind of change we need TAKES A LONG LONG TIME, at least ONE MORE TERM for Obama.
He’s going to lose 75%/25%, almost regardless of who runs against him. ALL of his policies, foreign and domestic, were and ARE just too fatuous, misguided, cynical, pointedly ideological, and dishonest and pushy at their core for him to be taken to the American bosom for another try. Job One for this Administration will be for the next year, to put the best face on everything going forward and pray that in Egypt and Libya especially it doesn’t become clear that his big gamble on “Democracy” turns out to be a big plus for the Muslim Brotherhood, and a loss for Israel, not to mention a strengthening, rather than weakening of Quaddafi. He is so far and away the worst thing to ever happen to this country, his wrongheadedness is so ENORMOUS, that I continue to be dazed every day just watching it happen, and worrying how long it will take to correct and amend even TWO years of ‘failed Obama policies”.
