Flotilla Activists Thrashing without Life Raft
Israel National News, Arutz Sheva ^ | Published: 07/03/11 | Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

Pro-Hamas flotilla activists are thrashing in deep political waters without a life raft as support for their aim to break the counterterrorist maritime blockade on Gaza drifts further away.

The Quartet – comprised of the United States, the European Union, the United Nations and Russia – has torn the sails of the flotilla movement and noted Saturday that Israel’s maritime blockade reflects its "legitimate security concerns that must continue to be safeguarded.

It supported Israel’s position that anyone wanting to send aid to Gaza can use "established channels so that their cargo can be inspected and transferred via established land crossings."

The Quartet’s statement added a sting to Hamas and its supporters by calling for an end to the "deplorable five-year detention of Gilad Shalit,” who was kidnapped by terrorists in Gaza five years ago.” Activists working against Israel have not taken up the cause of the captive IDF soldier despite the refusal of Hamas to honor the Geneva Convention that requires captors to allow Red Cross visits and communication with family members.

The flotilla effort has been severely crippled by a successful Israeli diplomatic campaign that has pointed out that the activists' real aim is to cause a clash with the IDF on the high seas, similar to the violent confrontation last year aboard the IHH-terror linked Mavi Marmara ship...

I didn't see this article in FReeprland but some are similar. Finally looks like the international community is seeing through the lies; this could be a first! Hopefully the flotilla(s) won't get off the ground. I wonder if Israel could consider this an act of war.

What is never reported is that the blockade is completely legal under "international law," such as it is, and the blockade runners are the ones taking the law into their own hands.

I enjoyed the video of the “flag ship” of this group of floating turds staggering away from the dock like a booze cruise with musical instruments blaring and about four times the safe number of people on board.

A few days ago, a resolution was introduced in the House whcih said that if the UN voted to recognize a Palestinian state WITHOUT Israel's concurrence, the US would immediately cut off ALL $$ to the UN.

Don't think this is related..

I believe it was mandated by the UN is part of a greater agreement. (The UN needed Israeli help on something)

Glenn Beck named the resolution that it covered under some months back but I can’t remember what it was.

Wow—thanks for that *great* news re: the House, the UN and $. First I’ve heard of it. Sounds like Ban Kai Moon is in a vice—and I don’t mean his entire body, either.

I’m no ME expert, but there is this thought I’ve had lately. When Netanyahu came over here and slapped Obama silly, and then took the joint chambers of congress by storm, I wonder if that wasn’t a game-changer? The anti-Israeli forces thought with Barry on their side, they could trample Israel’s rights with impunity. Then Bibi gave them an object lesson in how weak and ineffectual Obama is in fact, and how much bipartisan support Israel has in the US.

And all of a sudden the Flotilla can’t catch a break. Hmm. Is there a connetion? I wonder.

In lieu of an image search, just pull out any dictionary and look up "bitch slap".

SeeBS hasn't gotten the memo yet, or at least it hasn't made it off their Photoshop desk yet.

Oh I doubt they'll give up. If one lie in their propaganda goes hits Davey Jones Locker well I have a feeling they'll go back to the Quran, Karl Marx, Mao and of course Mein Kampf to find another angle. MSM is finished as if FOX for now.

All this Casee Anthony baloney I have been getting more news off the Shopping Channel( that last line is supposed to be sarcastic and FUNNY!).

But I though Turkey did a premature pull out also. I also saw a link that CAIR is not "non profit today and the IRS has just shut them down( allegedly) for no statements since 2007. This from Jihad Watch. I wonder of Obama is whining or so engulfed in golfing he's not heard the news no one likes his BS muslim goat love anymore.

Hamas Linked CAIR Sonewalling IRS, Jihad Watch

Good to hear the Turkey “peace protestors” pulled out of the invasion.

Last I heard Turkey was threatening Israel to attack them if the IDF attacked any Turkish citizens. Also I understand that radicals Muslims won the last election in Turkey.

Something I heard about a while back was Egyptian radicals calling for a foot invasion of Israel. They were calling for Muslims around the world to meet in Egypt to cross the border into Israel. Heard anything about that?
