I suspect that most of the jurors are advocates of abortion (based on profiles presented on cable TV), and it is easy for an abortion-booster to acquit on “reasonable doubt” in such cases. They look at the adult life “ruined” instead of the dead child. The problem remains with the American people and their inability to be good jurors.

Do you think this is the first unsolved crime in the history of the country? There are probably hundreds if not thousands of unsolved murders in Florida alone. Either someone else was responsible for the murder or the prosecution tried the case before there was solid evidence against the mother.

You sound like a good juror for the next game of "Let's let a Murderer Go Free". Unresolved murders are normally because there is a lack of evidence. That is not what happened in this case. There was an entire mountain of evidence proving it could be no one other than Casey. This is a case of a jury not capable of doing their job, due to ignorance and stupidity that is rampant in our society. This jury completely rejected every bit of that mountain of evidence, and I can only guess that they figured anything short of a video of Caylee's murder, was a reasonable doubt.

I can’t say with 100% certainty that she did it.

That is not the standard here, it is beyond a reasonable doubt. If you have reasonable doubt than you are mentally retarded. God help you.

I’m not disgusted with Florida. I’m disgusted defense attorneys that think it’s their duty to get their guilty clients off when it comes to murder even if they’re known to be guilty. (and hey that’s probably the law)

It’s my take that the defense attorney should be there to make sure their clients are treated fairly under the law, not to get off scott free for having committed murder.

There’s no question whatsoever that this woman is guilty.

Lack of evidence. If this was a wrongful death civil suit they might have found her responsible, but for a criminal charge there just wasn’t enough evidence. Did Casey kill her daughter, even accidentally? Did the daughter drown? The evidence doesn’t distinguish. The evidence *does* point to someone hiding the body, but who the heck knows — maybe the family was afraid of being charged with child neglect.

Sometimes a guilty person goes free. That’s how our system is: we consider it much more important to ensure that we don’t convict an innocent person.

Far better the “CSI effect” than the old predominance of “The Convicted Ham Sandwich” effect.

“Hence the “killing the pet” excuse.”

You don’t get it. Cindy did NOT say that they were looking into killing a pet. She said that she thought the the chlorophyll was making her dogs sick and that she accidentally put in ‘chloroform’.

AND IT WAS PROVEN THAT SHE LIED. Proven on purpose - on paper. NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT. She was at work.

You keep saying, ‘they’ as if the whole family was thinking about killing the dogs, but that’s not what Cindy testified.

I hope that she will be renounced by her parents and end up a pariah, unable to make a living, and the object of jokes, disdain, and derision by all who cross her path.

I hope she is sentenced to some time back in prison, and not just let out for time already served. I am sure there are women in prison who could make her pay in some other ways. Suspected child abusers/murders are not respected by any criminals. If the judge lets her out without more time to be served, I will really be disgusted with him, also.

“That is not the standard here, it is beyond a reasonable doubt. If you have reasonable doubt than you are mentally retarded. God help you.”

Where is the undeniable proof that she did it? The fact is the prosecution presented a terrible case. Little helpful evidence and all but an unhelpful witness were impeached.

I have followed this whole thing, and I just don’t know how they could find her not guilty.

As did I. But we saw and heard things the jury did not. I'm not defending this decision, I'm just saying we know far more than they do.

No I do not. I do adore the Constitution and the presumption of innocence. I am so happy that it worked. There was no evidence beyond a doubt. One day a jury may protect you from an overzealous State. It is our last line of defense. Hot Damn. As far as Casey. I care less. She is sick and needs treatment. The real truth may still come out somehow. But not in our disgusting media. i think Nancy Grace should be arrested for inciting violence. And hope Casey sues her.

You haven’t convinced me that you really understand “reasonable doubt”

"Beyond a reasonable doubt" does not mean guilty until proven innocent.

The prosecution should have waited until it had better evidence.

I understand the HLN crowd freaking out because they are idiots.

I can’t understand why FReepers who supposedly revere the Constitution are freaking out so emotionally about this.
