The nation's largest education union has endorsed President Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign.

Members of the National Education Association voted to support Obama on Monday at their annual convention in Chicago.

In a statement, NEA President Dennis Van Roekel says Obama and the union share a vision and members wanted early and strong support to help his election.

Guess the NEA has turned over a new leaf. They usually support the Rat candidate that hides his leftist or Islamic Socialism or Maoism or Stalinism or Leninism or Marxism or Che, Fidel, and Hugo love or tacit approval of Ayers, Dorn, J. Wright, Farakhan, Alinsky, Cloward and Piven./ sarc

Too bad there are not enough NEA/AFT/AFL-CIO/Teamsters members that love this country more than continuing to pay dues to an organization(s) seemingly run by Communists at every level of leadership./ not sarc

It’s come to the point where we should first examine a potential employee’s high school record before we look at any higher education.

If (public school grad) THEN (feggetabowdit)

What an indictment! Obama is, if actually an American at all, an Accidental American. Having spent his formative years in Indonesia, he has few of the typical mental images that are second nature to those born & raised in American communities. Do those teaching American children in their formative years now truly share Obama's "vision?" That ought to be grounds for their replacement.

Seriously, how can taxpayers employ teachers, who want to "change" America, to instruct the youth. Are we that deeply into self-destruction, or are we to imagine that he really did not mean his vows on the campaign trail? The context made it very clear that he was not talking about changing bad policies. He meant changing our fundamental principles. How can we tolerate that in our public schools?

The fact that this is the earliest they have ever announced their routine Dimocrat endorsement, and the record low percentage for members voting for it, tells us they are running scared. As so they should be!

During the last presidential campaign a friend's daughter complained that she had been publicly reprimanded and taken to the principal's office because she was countering her history teacher's obvious bias in support of Obama. The child was very interested in politics, and followed the campaign...often offering views that were alternate to the teacher. The school called the girl's mother, and told them both that the girl had to stop her classroom comments because they were "interruptive."

The school also had many Obama posters and a life size cardboard image of Obama in the entrance way. There were no pictures or posters of McCain.

Later, at a local Republican political meeting, which the girl attended, she talked with the Republican state representative and told him of her experience. He promised to look into the issue. Nothing happened.

Another proof that our schools are being brainwashed by the liberals who have no intention or desire to teach real democracy - only to turn out more liberal sheeple. Nor does the GOP have any power to change things.

Another reason for home schooling.

I saw a Christian tv show yesterday in which a German family had finally had to leave Germany because of home schooling their children. (Their childrens’ text books and class subject matter had alarmed the parents because of the anti-Biblical nature of it.) The German “authorities” immediately stepped in to force them to comply with the state and send their kids to government run schools. The family is in the U.S. now, homeschooling their children, living in a community that is largely homeschooling.

It’s the same dishonesty they teach in the schools.... think about this you have an organization endorsing a candidate out right even before they know whom the other person is running for that job..... same thing they do in the class... there is no other choice or way but their own.

Not even pulling off the charade of weighing both candidates before making a choice? Or is this only for the primary? Could be bad reporting. After all, the reporters were trained by teachers.

American communists supporting an American Marxist. Nothing to see here.

Anyone who does not realize the Dumbocrap party has been completely infested with Progressives (nice word for Marxist communists) and the GOP is well on its way to be assimilated either is not paying attention or too stupid. In either case they should refrain from voting.

“After all, the reporters were trained by teachers.”

You have spotted one of the successes of the Communist Manifesto.

By infiltrating the teacher’s unions ( and many others) they have also infected the core of our education professionals who teach in “Journalism” school (or “J” school as they love to call it).

We now have a educational system designed to produce as many communists as possible and a media who will run interference for them at every turn. No wonder they want to put FOX out of business.

Note how Harvard exposed their communist roots this holiday by releasing a study that children exposed to a 4th of July parade have a 2% greater chance of being a Republican.

Note the feeble crud at Harvard failed to mention, if this were even true, how many of our children are suffering from a communist indoctrination 6 hours a day, 5 days a week (when the commie teachers are not off for some reason), every year they attend Communist (aka public) schools.

The left can never allow a right wing view to go unchallenged as history PROVES a left wing view to always be a failure so the left must have a useful idiot accomplice in the media.

I got out of the union when I was a teacher for this very reason...they were taking my dues and giving them to candidates I did not support. I think this may backfire on them somewhat because they are talking about upping the dues/fees to members specifically to back Obama.
