So her alleged scheming and almost-certain dishonesty and probable prostitution is partly our fault because we import aluminum?
To: flowerplough
That’s right. “We’re all guilty!”

Just as we should ignore the forgery, fraud and identity theft of illegal aliens and give them amnesty. Because the United States sucks. Or something.

I don’t think I’d fit in her shoes. I really don’t, and for that I am glad.

What a bizarre piece.
This woman isn’t trying to gain asylum, she’s already here. Once asylum is granted, the person must follow the law. If they get involved in drugs & prostitution & money-laundering and who knows what other illegal activity, they should be arrested, jailed and then deported.
Not to say that I don’t think Strauss-Kahn is a creepy lech and hope the new accusation of attempted rape lands him in jail.

“Yet those who would rush to judge her should consider the context.”
The foundation of the moral relativism that drives so much of the progressive agenda is captured well in that single sentence. We just need to see everything in proper context, you know...

To: Force of Truth
Stand in her shoes? You mean with all the goop
on them? Any way wouldn’t it be better to ask,
“Why don’t you kneel in her shoes?”

I probably couldn't stand in her shoes either.
But I might be willing to stand on her shoes, if she were wearing them.
