The Obama administration is taking the unusual step of asking the U.S. Supreme Court to stop Texas from executing a Mexican citizen who was convicted and sentenced to die for the rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl.
The administration is asking the court to delay the July 7 execution of Humberto Leal, 38, for as long as six months to give Congress time to consider legislation that would directly affect Leal's case.

The request for a stay was rejected by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.
yeah really!
Then, I'd arrange for the guards to take a break when he was out of his cell.
If this crap keeps up, Jeffrey Dahmer style executions are going to become a lot more common.
How abut we all call the white house or
#askobama on twitter?
ZERO is having a twitter townhall today.
“AMERICANS to White House: Kiss My Grits!
And yesterday Mexico mentioned that they’d like to extradite and subpoena Obama Admin people who were involved in Gunrunner and Fast and Furious. No connection here. None.
This is OBozo playing the political game against those who believe in the law, as its written, and not as the left chooses to interpret it.
LOL! Yeah, that , too, but Texans are hard to beat when it comes to telling FedGov to stick it where the sun don’t shine.
The poor kid this piece of crap raped and murdered was Hispanic.
Any verification that she, too, was an illegal immigrant?
I wonder how much obama getting involved influenced that decision. (I suspect it may have sealed the deal)
I hope it is the one in the middle of your hand, palm facing you.
Death penalty.
This POS lived here since he was 2 years old thanks to his illegle parents. He can speak English just fine and doubtful he considered himself a Mexican national. We could always just send him back via the back ramp of a C130 at about 16k feet. How his native soil welcomes him back would be his problem.
I truly don’t know how parents cope with something like this. If it had been my child, I will confess honestly that I think I would have to be institutionalized. The knowledge of my child being raped, bitten, a stick shoved into her, and smashed in the head would be the end of me. Personally, I would volunteer to pull the lever, push the button... whatever is done to end it for this guy.
This is not breaking news. It is from last Friday, and Texas has already responded with a big FUBO.
The dude is going to be executed tomorrow. Good riddance.
They are corrupt and compromised.
My bet is Mexican political back channels are testing this "bunch". "Halt this execution or your illegal gun operation into Mexico will become quite a problem for you.."
Mexico gets this; Mexico has got him. Bam is going to push for it but go "aww shucks; Sorry Mexico; I tried, its those racist American Judges that stifled this; NOT ME!!"
Any takers on this theory?

Long silent family of victim speaks ....."The South San newspaper is folded to reveal a specific ad on a page's bottom corner. "In memory of Adria Sauceda," it begins. Her dates of birth and death Jan. 27, 1978, and May 21, 1994 are in small type near the end.
"I look at that every day," Sauceda, 64, said as his fingers smoothed the pages. "Her friends paid to have that put in the paper. She had so many friends."....
