'She is a good mother... we were right' Juror defends shock acquittal of Casey Anthony
Daily Mail ^ | July 6, 2011 | John Stevens

An alternate juror in the Casey Anthony trials has said that he believes that Anthony was a good mother and that two-year-old Caylee’s death was just a horrific accident.

The sensational acquittal of Casey Anthony sparked outrage across the U.S. as angry spectators compared the trial’s outcome to the infamous verdict in the OJ Simpson case.

But Russell Huekler, one of five alternate jurors who were present for all the testimony and were sequestered with the 12 other jurors, said he would have given the same verdict and is stunned by the public anger.

Because the prosecution did not prove that Casey Anthony knew Calee was missing or dead.

You are simply wrong on the facts. The evidence was quite clear that the child was missing for more than a month. In fact the defense admitted that in court. The jurors simply ignored the law, the evidence and common sense where the aggravated abuse statute is concerned. They nullified the aggravated abuse statute just like the OJ jury nullified the murder statute. And the amount of people who are sanguine about that is right out of Kafka.

The mindset isn’t new to me. I used to feel the same way when I was young. And pity’s much easier to come by and distribute than conviction (in both senses).

So you are retrded. Sorry about that. Juries do not have the final word on issues when they render verdicts. In America we can discuss their verdicts to our heart's are content or the cows come home. And btw the case is not closed per se. Your girl slandered a woman who she claimed had her daughter. The chicken will be coming home to roost forthwith.

Do you have speech rights in whatever stalinist country you hail from?

AS I said earlier, if Casey was in the habit of drugging Caylee with chloroform to enable her to go out and kick up her heels at night, it could have been accident by administering too much chloroform. I doubt Casey has a very high IQ, so perhaps she put the duct tape over Caylee’s nose and mouth to hide the odor of the chloroform. IN NO WAY was Casey a good mother!

He is old news. Let’s move on to the latest cockroach juror to crawl into the light, who wants five figures to tell his “story”. Those loser democrat Pinellas County idiots only wanted 15 minutes worth of $$$$. Disgusting.

A coworker of mine saw Good Morning America today, and apparently the first thing Casey is going to do is have another child to “fill the void” since Caylee died. What chance do you think they will find that baby in a swamp?

If the prosecuter had been hispanic and the defense attorney was Joe Smith Jerry rivers would have a different take on Casey Anthony,he’s pathetic. As for the jury I didn’t realize so many inbreds reside 100 miles from orlando.

I thought she was already pregnant? Didn’t she tell a cell mate she was but was waiting for the right tome to announce it?
Anyway who in their right mind would sleep with her?

Both Rush and Levin admitted they had not followed the case closely at all.

Here's a quote directly from Rush's website...a transcript of what he said literally SECONDS before declaring there was NO EVIDENCE presented.

"Finally, they got a verdict in the Casey Anthony trial. Finally, they're gonna announce the verdict at 2:15 this afternoon. (interruption) Am I going to JIP it? We haven't covered a syllable of it yet. Don't give me hand signals. I know every woman in the world is gonna be glued to that verdict. I understand. Kathryn's been watching this. I probably shouldn't admit this. Sitting here right now, I bet I don't know 2% of what this is about, and the 2% that I know I know 'cause I asked Kathryn while she's sitting there watching TV Sunday night. And I'm saying, "They had court on Sunday? They had court? I've never heard of this. Why?"

Then they had court yesterday, and then all last night that's all the cable networks did. And I'm sitting there and, folks, it's not often I don't know something. Sitting here right now, I know nothing about this. I only have the thoughts when I look at the mother. (interruption) Well, 'cause I haven't been interested. I don't know."

(Then they play audio of the verdict)

Then Rush comes back. His delight is in the fact that the "media" got theirs, guilt or innocence be damned:

RUSH: I don't know, folks. I'm taking a gander, a listen at various media analysts on the Casey Anthony "not guilty" verdicts here during the commercial breaks, and I have to tell you, they are livid, they are livid. And I of course, El Rushbo, find great pleasure in them being livid. Now, I've had some people help me out here today 'cause I didn't know anything about this, but I now know that there was no evidence.

NO EVIDENCE???? I was astounded that, first of all, Rush would comment so authoritatively on a subject that he himself admitted he knew nothing about, and that he would stake his reputation on something someone told him (via what, email? IM? phone call?) during the tiny span of time that the verdict was announced.

I love El Rushbo, but was very surprised on his ill-informed declaration.

Yes, but this jury had plenty of ways to charge her for some responsibility for her daughter being found in a swamp down the street from her home. No excuse for their verdict.

My son wandered off when he was 2. This was 18 years ago. I have never forgotten that feeling of utter panic. I am so grateful he was found and unharmed, but there is nothing like that. He was missing for probably less than an hour, but it was the longest of my life. To even contemplate a parent just being so casual about a missing child turns my stomach.
Casey Anthony killed and got away with it. I only pray that she does not get the opportunity to do it again.
