The Army said Wednesday that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, accused of killing 13 people in a rampage on Fort Hood in 2009, will face the death penalty.
Lt. Gen. Donald Campbell Jr., the post's commander, ordered a capital murder trial after reviewing recommendations from an Army colonel who presided over an evidentiary hearing last year.
Fort Hood's action sets the stage for a trial that most likely will take place in about a year. While Campbell ordered a court-martial that allows prosecutors to seek the death penalty, Hasan must still be arraigned and a judge selected. In addition to being charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder, Hasan faces another 32 specifications of attempted premeditated murder.

Personally, I think thelegal axion stating that everyone is innocent until proven guilty gets a little twisted sometimes.
Here we have a person whom witnesses observed shooting unarmed people. Witnesses also heard him doing the “Allah Akbar” thing. He had a documented history of Jihadi sympathies. Yet it has taken years to bring this piece of crap to trial. IMHO it makes a mockery of justice—not to mention the expense of confining him and the lawyers.
And what about all this idiot’s supervisors who gave him a pass over the years despite his classroom rants extolling Islam’s virtues; and embracing an Islamist’s duty to jihad—to kill the infidel.
Not if Hasan is already dead. Convict him - sentence him - and carry out the sentence post haste!
Give him Tx BBQ pork for his last meal and lets be done with it.
Just Copter him out to the nearest Aircraft carrier and catapult him off in his wheelchair!
Was listening to Dennis Miller today on the radio, and a caller asked an excellent question: “Does A.G. Holder still want to try KSM in a civilian court after the Casey Anthony verdict?” I felt like calling up just to answer that: Of course he does, that’s his whole agenda - To free those who want to destroy the USA. I mean who are we trying to kid here? THE very first day Holders boss took office, THE very first thing he tried to do was close down Club Gitmo!! Above EVERYTHING else, this was the el primo #1 agenda for this guy before he even sat behind the desk; Freeing terrorists! I mean WTF? Let us make no mistake what is sitting in the WH here. Does Holder still want to try KSM in a civilian court? If anything this verdict encourages him even more.

We all know he's guilty. We need to get rid of this innocent until proven guilty and trial by jury crap, and have a internet poll to determine guilt. We could have hung this traitor the next day.
