Joan Walsh: "A Lot Is Not Known" About Bachmann's Foster Children (video)

Salon.com editor-at-large Joan Walsh says a lot is just "not known" about GOP presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann. Walsh must not read her own website because a simple search of their archives and a broader search on Google of Salon.com and Bachmann yields a lot of results. A lot.

"She's [Bachmann] trying to make this -- and they're all trying to make this about the economy. So they're thinking that's going to be the club which to batter President Obama [with]," Salon.com editor Joan Walsh said.

"You know, the more people dig into her background, her foster kids, there's just a lot that is not known about her," Walsh continued.

Those records are sealed, aint they?
If they get hold of sealed records and prints whats inside, someone should go to jail.

Why don’t we all go over to Salon and ask her?

My grandparents had “problem” foster teenagers. They even had one stab his twin brother to death at the dinner table.

They sacrificed a lot. You really can’t have a lot of family over when you’re dealing with that kind of thing. As a result, a good many of us grandkids never had a close relationship with them.

Just read the other day an article where people who went to law school with Bachmann actually remembered her and had an impression of her and her character and intellect.

As opposed to Obama's classmates at Columbia that can't remember ever seeing the guy in class or even really knowing who he was.

Frankly, I think that statement by Ms. Walsh sounds like a veiled threat.

Dear Michelle: You had better put on your triple-layered asbestos-lined, flame-retardant, jump suit, cuz you is about to get “PALINIZED!”

Believe me, I know exactly what you’re talking about.

God bless your grandparents for your service. And you, for understanding it all, even though you, as a little one and now an adult, paid a dear price for it.

No good deed (of a republican) goes unpunished.

Remember when Bush nominated Linda Chavez for Secretary of Labor the Democrats put their "Opposition Research Team" on the case a discovered that Chavez had a housekeeper for whom she did not deduct SS payments for. Her sin? She had discovered this homeless Spanish woman and offered to let her live with her family. The woman wanted to pay for her keep by being their housekeeper. They agreed and no money changed hands, yet the Democrats said she should have been paying SS for her. She withdrew her nomination. That is just one difference between conservatives and liberals. This thing with Banchmann is just more of the same. Look at the scrutiny the Palin family gets.

For heavens sake Grace, they were foster children. They were not all in the home at the same time!!

Of course the media will delve into Bachmann’s kids — that was never in doubt at all. To the liberals politics is war, nothing else matters but winning and there is no line they wouldn’t cross or haven’t crossed. Conservatives generally have family, faith, careers that draw most of their attention. That is great, but it’s also our structural disadvantage that explains why we are losing bigtime on the culture/politics front.

And this is a bad thing? I think Marcus got it exactly right. Also, we homeschool our kids for precisely the same reasons.

It was my undertanding that these girls had problems from eating disorders to psychological and trauma disorders. These, of all kids, should be left alone. It’s nobody’s business. Nobody’s.

I work in a healthcare facility for seniors.

People call there all the time and ask me if we have a certain person at our facility. By law, I’m not allowed to tell people anything.

I believe such would be the inquiries regarding ANY foster child. Most agencies are very protective of those children and I believe it will be difficult to get that kind of information.

Sadly for the liberals, they will try to find a way to expose who these children are and if there is even one child that is not doing exceptional .. it will be the talk of the town.

My hope is that the agency who protects those children will be diligent in not releasing any information to anyone who is not legally allowed to know that information .. and if a mistake is made by the agency and the wrong person receives information - I’m hoping they will have the courage to expose those who used their position to get information they would not normally be privey to.

There is a price to pay where I work - you lose your job; and you are black-listed so you cannot work in that healthcare area again.

I would challenge anyone with 1/3 the number of kids Bachman has helped raise be vetted like these kids will be and have them come out “clean”

Like....the Gores, for example?

So agree.

And I feel this way about ALL the children of the candidates.

I hope that many people start an immediate pushback against this stuff. Not so much to argue with the likes of Joan Walsh on the merits, but simply to keep saying loudly and firmly “leave the kids alone. ALL of them.”

The ECONOMY is not important, but the personal business of Michelle's foster children IS.

No, Joan Walsh. You are wrong. The most important issue is the uncovering and exposure of YOU and YOUR PERSONAL AFFAIRS and YOUR FAMILY and THEIR MISSTEPS.

In fact, after I deal with a family issue, I am going to make it a point to really dig into all this. Keep your eye on this forum, Ms. Walsh. Lots will be revealed about you.
