Economy was turning around until the Republicans took the house. They have increased uncertainty and threatened the economy with draconian measures. Will demand the republicans increase spending and taxes to provide hope to the American people.
I think everything you say has merit and it probably isn’t a good idea to overlook that.
Not to mention the fact that I think the cheating will be rampant. I also don’t think the dems will care if their own get caught in the act. What they know is that it will negate the outcome and throw the whole country into chaos.

Monday: ABC interview on the demands of being President 24/7/365. Release statment calling for more civility in politics.
Tuesday thru Thursday: Take it easy getting ready for weekend. Polish golf clubs and make a couple hamburger runs to Five Guys.
Friday: Sleep in. Fly to California for fund raisers and weekend golf. Release statement pointing out budget cutting republicans just want to starve minority children.
Saturday: Two rounds of golf in the PM. Speech to teachers union on Social Justice.
Sunday: Sleep in. Golf in the safternoon. Return to Washington.
They will probably just recycle an old “blame Bush” speech. Obama has dozens of those preloaded on his teleprompter.

THE JUNE NUMBERS: The government will report Friday morning whether the unemployment rate changed in June, and how many jobs were added last month. President Obama is scheduled to deliver a statement on the report from the Rose Garden at 10:35 a.m. Later in the morning, he will sit down for interviews with TV reporters from Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Raleigh-Durham.
In guidance to reporters, the White House said Obama will focus in the interviews on "the economy and the importance of finding a balanced approach to deficit reduction." They're scheduled to be shown at 5 p.m..

Obama spoke to reporters but he didn't take questions and he gave no details.
President Obama told deficit negotiators on Thursday that he won’t sign a bill that doesn’t raise the debt ceiling through the presidential election in 2012, Bloomberg reports.
