WASHINGTON (AP) - Beset by a weak jobs report, President Barack Obama on Friday called for swift action by

Yes!
Government needs to take more money out of the economy so businesses will hire more!
It’s the Keynesian philosopher’s stone.

The WH is blowing up the possibility that the USA will shoot their hostages (citizens) by defaulting as a first choice if the limit is not raised. Typical communism.

And, it will work on the GOP leadership in Congress.

The Tea Party will have to become a real party or the nation is lost.

And, to cure this mess we must reduce all entitlements to the level necessary to balance the budget and then index those entitlements not to GDP (in which all Government spending and "investments" are included), but to government revenue.

If revenue goes down 11%, benefits go down 11%.

Conversely, if revenues go up 9%, benefits go up 9%.

Everyone would then have a stake in economic performance and will become economist hobbyists. And, the nation will survive.

This should be one of the Platform Planks of the new Tea Party.

BO has hit a new low in searching for excuses for his obvious failure to right this sinking economy.
As though businesses won’t hire because this profligate government may not be able to continue to mortgage the future of coming generations.

You are right on!!! Republicans have Obama in the corner!!! No new taxes or schemes that never materialize!!! The only tax change to be made is the flat tax on all wage earners from low to high income!!! The Pubbies must go with cut, cap & balance right now!!! Any wobble and...Obama wins the battle, and the Republican Party dies. Pubbies, destroy Obama and the Democrat Party right now!!! Give them nothing, zilch, zero, squat, etc. Get backbone, you weak sisters!!!

"Business are not hiring because the government is not running up more debt????"

Government employees (public school teachers, all), contractors and others who get their incomes from big government spend money on services and retail. Until we have a large, heavy manufacturing base again, it's nearly all big government spending.

So yes, the default is certain.

And the weak, effete, Republican elite put up their umbrellas and claim they can't do anything about the weather.

“Government employees (public school teachers, all), contractors and others who get their incomes from big government spend money on services and retail.”

Where do I even start with that silliness?

Schools are paid for by local taxes.

“contractors and others who get their incomes from big government spend money”

You forgot that they took the money from the private
sector in the first place.

So anything they spend they taxed from the places
they spent it at in the first place.

That leads me to the final question...
What goods and services other than the military does
the behemoth federal government produce that we need
in the first place?

All they do is steal our bread and throw back crumbs.

"Where do I even start with that silliness? Schools are paid for by local taxes."

My County recently received quite a few million through the State from the federal government for an unneeded public school building (nearly no kids). Last year, food stamps were cut by bipartisan Congress in part of a $26 billion dollar aid bailout to the states to provide $10 billion from the federal government to the states for public school teachers' and administrators' salaries. Your argument was beside the point anyway, as the states are as socialist and wasteful in their partnerships with the federal government.

"You forgot that they took the money from the private sector in the first place."

You forgot that much of the money is from debt and printed out of thin air. The part that comes mostly from foreign manufacturing revenues is shrinking in the foreign debt regime, of course. Government at every level is defaulting.

"We can't stand by and do nothing while pink slips are given to the men and women who educate our children or keep our communities safe." --Obama, yet another socialist "education" president, rubber stamping the demands of both parties in Congress for their favored, socialist constituents in every level of government and non-productive, government-affiliated business.

The NEA spent tens of millions of dollars during the year to lobby for federal money to the revenue sucking states (which federal money is also sucked up by counties and municipals).

Every time we receive a sassy, dishonest comment from a socialist of either political party, we resolve to spend less, become more self-sufficient, become more personally acquainted with technological work and assist the worthless and vain toward their default. And nothing can be done to stop it.
