Opponents of Georgia's tough illegal immigration law descended upon the Capitol Saturday afternoon to demonstrate, making it the latest in what has been a steady stream of rallies showing displeasure and in some cases support for the new rules.Four charter buses emptied out for the one-hour rally, with protesters coming to hear, among other scheduled speakers, activist the Rev. Al Sharpton.
"America must work for everybody or it works for nobody," Sharpton said, calling HB 87 a threat to "all of us all over (the) United States."
The law has many supporters who say the state is just upholding federal immigration laws. The new rules will prevent illegal immigrants from burdening the state's taxpayer-funded public schools, hospitals and jails, proponents say.
While a federal judge has blocked two provisions of the law, other parts went into effect July 1. Among those in effect are rules saying people who use false information or documentation to get a job could face up to 15 years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines. The law also creates a panel to investigate complaints about local and state government officials who fail to enforce the new rules.

Send Al to Zimbabwe.
What a sham. This WH is going to let all in this country so he can be re-elected in 2012. They will do it by hook or crook! A old saying I used to hear when my Mom was alive. Hope it fits here!
Oh Al....Tawana Bradley?
The race pimp is on the loose again! Watch your wallets!
Will al sharpton be speaking regarding atlanta school teachers fraud.
America’s preeminent race hustler & overseer at the Democratic Welfare Plantation at work again. Doing fellow Dems like Bull Connor proud.
Sure, Al, let the illegals take the jobs available for the low skilled, undereducated blacks who come out of your public school systems
Gawd, these people are such fools.
Sharpton is a traitor to his people. The same illegals condemned in this legislation STEAL jobs which COULD go to black workers (AND white ones also.)
What a pompous boob.
Atta way to go, Al. Now go explain to the unemployed blacks why we need to grant amnesty to those who take their jobs.
all true... think; another "Wag the Dog" op.
to hide OBahbah's (& the D.C.Elitists) many tax Increases / Power Grab.
He should’ve been permanently shunned after the Tawana Brawley fraud in ‘87.
“The race pimp is on the loose again! Watch your wallets!”
Haaaalllaaaaaaahloooooya!!! We be smellin’ da money!!!
“America must work for everybody or it works for nobody,” Sharpton said”
What he really meant to say was “Productive Americans must work for everybody, including lazy welfare slobs, illegals and whoever else feels entitled.”
Al’s audience here - www.thugreport.com
Not to sound harsh here but Al’s ‘’people’’, black ‘’yutes’’ wouldn’t take jobs illegal aliens do if you put guns to their heads. Homey don’t work. Period.
