This is the 3rd or 4th EOTW date they have threatened us with in the last few months. [EOTW = End of the World]

The previous dates came and went, the world didn't end, and they just came up with another date a few weeks down the road.

More DEM commercials from Gregory....and lies that Reps are AT FAULT! Wow, can these scum LIE!!

The Libs talk about Bush and the past when they want to defend Obama, then when Pawlenty answers that, Gregory says we ‘don’t want to talk about the past.”

Pawlenty is doing great! Even though Gregory is playing games, going left, right, changing topics, switching gears.

Sen. Mitch McConnell, RINO has apparently caved. He has AGREED to increase the spending limit but “will use the opportunity to get headed in the right direction”.

One word summary: BOHICA...

I suppose they want Geithner to take the fall to keep Obama from getting the blame. He's the scapegoat.

IIRC, there have been rumors that Geithner is leaving soon anyway, so you are probably correct.

"What happened to McCain, Schumer, and the usual Obama suck ups?"

Resting up for a whole new set of spin strategies.

Not to worry, they'll be baaaaaak.

McConnell is on his side. He’s become part of the “ruling class” and is now an inside the beltway Rino. When he leaves the Senate he’s going to be a K-street lobbyist.

Gregory tries it all...and Pawlenty keeps hitting back!
Gosh is Gregory a nasty POS!

I am now all riled up at the Lib lies, distortion tactics and changing the subject....Good Lord, help us with this crap for the next year.

Pawlenty will need a shower and dispose of his clothes after that “interview”.

DNC Dave interrupts Pawlenty every time he comes close to critizizing Obama and practically demands he bad-mouth Republicans—it's one gotcha after another.
Previously he and Geitner needed a cigarette after their smooch and grope.

Van Hollen just said that the negotiations in the debt meetings hadn't even reached $1 trillion so all that Obama $4 trillion talk was just political posturing.

DeMint just said that they are “willing to give the President his increase in the debt ceiling” in exchange for states voting on a balance budget amendment vote, etc.

Then DeMint says we’ve given Obama the debt ceiling increase 3x before and he hasn’t done anything in exchange.

I can’t see why this time will be any different.

What radical regime has ever been stopped by compromisers?

With voters who reason like the Casey Anthony jury, we are in serious trouble.

Baird did a good job with Becerra on SS, but he just fell short. He allowed Becerra to flim flam him with his five dollar bill and savings bond.

SS is a pay as you program. It is running in the red now, i.e., it is paying out more than it is taking in. In order to make up the shortfall, SS cashes in its IOUs from the SSTF. Thus, the General Fund must come up with the money now to pay those benefits. So SS is in fact contributing to our current deficit problems. Baird missed the opportunity to nail Becerra by asking him if the SSTF is filled with real assets, why is the $2.3 trillion SSTF included in the $14.3 trillion national debt.

Becerra also lied when he compared the T-bills held by China to those in the SSTF. The SSTF holds non-market T-bills that can only be redeemed by the USG. We can't sell them to China or anyone else.

I’m inclined to give Michele her due and grant that she should be in a leadership position in the House.

But I think she’d be a total disaster as a presidential candidate beyond serving her Rovian duty of making life easier for Mitt by splitting Palin’s vote. Her bargain in this race IMO is much more Faustian than simply hiring Rollins. The Establishment GOP, Dems and/or the MSM could rip her to shreds the minute they wanted to. You see a few fringe media types nibbling on her now, but mostly they’re still pushing her. (Chris Matthews’s newest best friend?)

Palin has a genuine leadership record as well as an economy and core issues first record that makes her much more viable for independents, moderates and libertarian types. Though Palin is principled and unbending in her social conservatism, she doesn’t come off as disrespectful or hatefully intolerant of those she disagrees with. Michele and Marcus are both big, fat, novice-level targets in that regard, however.

I’m coming to believe that Perry is the Establishment’s next best hope, however. He clearly plays the globalist game and can be bought, and everyone is fearful that Mitt is still to stiff and awkward a campaigner to pull off the nomination. With Perry I think they hope to offer someone with more of a conservative patina to him, who like some thought TPaw might successfully be positioned to do, could pull votes from both sides of the GOP.

But Perry would be at least as bad in the general as Romney, and Obama could hardly be happier to face a less smooth, more fundamentalist caricature of W in 2012.

More and more, I am convinced that if Palin isn’t our candidate, we’ve got four more years of Obama. And truthfully, that may not be worse for us than four years of a compromised and compromising RINO president whom the Dems could roll to a record degree, just as the Democrats in the MA legislature when they had the good fortune of Romney as their governor.

No amnesty ever.

All of this talk of raising the debt ceiling and budget cuts have just gotten ridiculous. There are no real cuts. Haven’t been and most likely never will be. They are talking about a cut in the rate of increase. What a crock. Can anyone remember the last time our budget was actually smaller than the previous year?

Exactly! Kind of like the “global warming” I mean “global cooling,” oops, I mean “climate change,” or the “coming ice age.”

First the government creates a crisis, “can't pay on our debts,” then presents a solution “raise the debt limit.”

That's the solution, give the drug addict one more pill before he gets serious about kicking the habit!

Sheeeesh, they must really think we are all stupid enough to believe the lies that spew from their mouths!
