Please don’t mistake me, I thought the Vega looked cool and drove cool (as possible for a rear wheel drive car). But they redefined “rust bucket.” Just try to find one even as a non drivable display antique today.
I’ve seen that. A lot of the cars built in the 70’s would literally start rotting away on the showroom floor, especially here in the upper midwest. It’s been maybe 25 years since I’ve seen a Vega, let alone anything built in the late 70’s.
