The other major nations count infant deaths. I keep reading this myth.
Believe me, as a Scot/Brit, former NHS worker, and someone who is knowledgeable about Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth (Canada, Aust, NZ etc) I can tell you that America is NOT the only nation that counts infant deaths, either premature or just after birth.
No, we do not count babies ‘later’.

I don’t have a complete list of countries and their methods. I’m not a statistician.
However, Ann Coulter explains this in one of her books. Many countries omit baby deaths if the babies die early.
I’ll let you investigate which, but I believe the Coulter book is “Guilty: Liberal ‘Victims’ and Their Assault on America.”
Here’s another tidbit:

Yeah, come back to me with a much more credible person than Ann Coulter.
Of course, we have a population of over 300 million to their 61 million (for the entire UK) and their food is so nasty no one wants to over-eat, but take all the US states and major cities with the highest obesity numbers, heart attack, diabetes, cancer & gun deaths and try to figure out what they have in common. Only don’t say it out loud or write it down anywhere. Just keep pretending we have no idea why we die younger than Brits.
Ann Coulter is far more credible than you. If you love the NHS so much, what are you complaining about? you’ve got it.
Ann Coulter is a tiresome talking head, whose writings and pronouncements have all the subtlety of a flaming brick wrapped in poop. She is entertaining, but not remotely a serious commentator. She is a Big Mac to a five star meal.
I find it sad that so many conservative Americans believe everything she says and buy her books in huge numbers, when there are many much better conservative writers and historians in America, who give a far better look at issues.
In short, read Arthur Herman or Thomas C Reeves or Paul F Boller if you want a proper revisionism of McCarthy, not Coulter’s Treason.

Oh, she writes books and is on TV so she must be credible?. So what, Hannity is a college drop out.
I have read all her books. She does what she criticises others for: makes facts suit a premise, obsfucates facts where she needs to, and above all her arguments, even if generally correct, are so simplistic, lacking any nuance. And she is discussing history, which by its very nature is complex.
Which is why I say Americans should read the much better conservative writers and historians. Same issues, same facts, much better writing and ideas and conclusions.
2-No, I dont ‘love’ the NHS, I simply wish criticism of it in the US to be based on actual fact, not nonsense horror stories, lies and myth.
